Gaymerchi ii desu yo Posted August 26, 2019 Posted August 26, 2019 Yo guys... just asking around...do u all know of any gay friends in a non-cheating long term relationships? And if yes, how old? I wonder what are the factors that make gay relationships so hard to last and how can we improve on it... I am losing faith myself recently and hopefully there are successful cases to hear about and to be inspired with... Quote

To me all relationship needs proper communication, commitment and sacrifices, not only apply to gay relationship. Both parties need to clap and do their job. Quote
Gaymerchi ii desu yo Posted August 26, 2019 Author Posted August 26, 2019 seemed that way for all relationships... but then how come we don't see many gay relationships that really last leh? can't be gays communicate, commit or sacrifice less than straight people bah? Quote

Firstly I think the ratio is less, secondly gay has another wall of barrier, inner and exterior battle to clear which might indirectly cause. Quote

LeanMature Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 Most of the times cannot last. So don't get too attached and be mentally ready that one day it might happens. Quote Don't read and response to guests' post

Rice60640 Posted August 28, 2019 Posted August 28, 2019 I have many friends in relationships lasting over 30 years. With some of them, I sometimes find myself questioning why they are in a relationship with each other because they seem to fight all the time. But I guess fighting is communication and passion. They still care enough that they still fight. Removing outside forces like you are still closeted or that you are forced to get married etc. Gay relationships and straight relationships are all still relationships. You need to work on it and be committed to communicate and trust each other. Can you be with someone for the rest of your life or is it just something you think you want. I find that many people thinks they want to be in a relationship but after a few months they feel bored or, for them, it is the thrill of the hunt and they want to go hunting again. So my advise for whether your relationship would last is to firstly know yourself and what you want and then work on getting what you want. But be advised, there is two part to this commitment. You have to know if the other person want the same things as you. kidster 1 Quote
