dear.gay.people Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 (edited) *Disclaimer: The views expressed below, is my personal opinion, & should not be taken as a direct representation of the daily operations of these 2 Clinics. DSC, is less discreet in their service. When the Receptionist calls your name, everyone around u is able to hear. Whereas at NCID, the registration process is more personalised. *I can vouch... that this view is 100% True*... DSC Nurses tend to have a higher patient load, & this leads(or may lead) to a longer waiting time. Over at NCID, the treatment rooms are newer. Even the patient bed at NCID, has a faster "reclining speed" than the ones DSC uses... Lastly, When it comes to Patient Counselling at DSC, the counter where the Pharmacist dispenses ur meds... is so tiny, that many times, I have heard her say, "Mr Tan, this is your antibiotics, & this is ur medicine for PEP." ...wah lau, like that also got!!! Over at NCID, I was lucky/blessed, that a sweet Senior Pharmacist attended to me. As a first-timer, she spent more than 10 minutes, explaining to me, thoroughly, and best of all? NCID has 5 Pharmacists on duty, whereas DSC has less. Before you cricitise me for "comparing these 2 public health institutions", My rationale for doing so is simple, Over at DSC, if u are "lucky", like me, your first appointment/consultation, is with their Head-of-Department, who is none other than Dr Martin Chio. I wonder why they assigned me to see him... But over at NCID, according to my personal experience, u will only get to see a Registrar... & rarely an AC. So at the end of the day... , to achieve the best treatment outcome... , u have to be mentally prepared, the level of care provided, is "Adequate for u to Survive". But should you wish to accelerate ur recovery rate, then I recommend you visiting ( a private senior consultant specialist who is) Dr Leong Hoe Nam, who runs "Rophi Clinic". Everytime I visit him, (I know I shouldn't be saying this...) 50% of the time... there is a well-dressed-guy, sitting next to me, & I am proud that he has decided to go private. Even if he isn't PLU, or maybe he is straight, I am happy that he has chosen to see Dr Leong, because Dr Martin Chio, & Dr Wee, are kinda harsh, during my interactions with them. Words like, "You were exposed & u don't know... maybe his viral load is sky high..., & this is because you had penetrative sexual intercourse" ... Thank u Dr Chio, & Dr Wee, for giving me a slap in the face. Signed, CWK =( Edited November 15, 2019 by dear.gay.people . 30yochinese 1 Quote
30yochinese Posted August 6, 2021 Posted August 6, 2021 *DISCLAIMER: when i post this, some of u mite assume i am a patient there... i hope u don't jump to conclusions & assume i am sick. i see my writing-contributions as Volunteer Work, & if a Guest posts some nasty comment, i will delete my account. Thx. 1) Which has a longer waiting time? at NCID, at Clinic J, there are 8 Doctors. over at DSC, if u count the number of rooms with DR, its only 5. tbh, both got to wait... but DSC will take longer. 2) Which has a faster queue for Pharmacy? NCID has 5 counters, DSC only has 2 Ladies working at the Dispensary. 3) i want to get PrEP, can or not? i won't talk about DSC, coz I've not done this there. over at NCID, there is a problem. when get a referral to see a-rotating-Doctor, & if u want PrEP, the DR won't give it to... he will say, "U need to go see Dr Wong CS coz he runs the PrEP clinic". its quite dumb... coz to get PrEP... U mite need to see 2 DR =( 4) Lastly, this is not related to the question... I HAVE S.T.D. what can i do? *i got this info from an infectious-disease-doctor, pls don't link me with a STD.* -get a referral to NUH's Dermatology & they will order Gardisil for u. tbh, this is ONLY OFFERED to women, but the DR mite let u do it, if he/she feels u need it. -U can go to NCID or DSC. -U can get a meningitis vaccination at the PolyClinic... this reduces ur risk of a STD. -U can go to the PolyClinic & make sure u have been vaccinated against Hepatitis A, B & C. take care & stay safe! 1983rophi Posted October 16 Posted October 16 (edited) ERROR: SUPPOSED TO BE: NCID ' I don't like NCIS because: Waiting time to do blood test is long =0( (i feel, for example u can search for Dr Derek) most of the doctors u see in the room are: Associate c & not > a full consultant So any gd news? Yes, Their Pharmacy is well stocked 👍 Edited October 16 by 1983rophi . Quote Local Chinese, living in Central. Busker, normally singing outside 313 Somerset. Live with Parents.
