For today's (4 March 2022) Parliamentary session, MP Yeo Wan Ling (PAP-Pasir Ris Punggol) has submitted a question on what will be done to engage different groups when considering the best way forward regarding Section 377A. Non-constituency MP Hazel Poa has asked what the Government’s indicators are to monitor whether society is ready for repealing 377A and how these indicators are monitored.
Now that we have achieved the landmark Court of Appeal ruling that Section 377A is "unenforceable", it is no longer practical nor legally defensible to retain it in our statute books.

Funny that S377A is not about us.  It is about engaging different groups, about monitoring Society's indicators.  They DICTATE whether we are criminal, even when the court's decision is as clear as crystal to them,

So gay people are being treated like soccer ball.  Kick here kick there by politicians trying to score own goal.  In the end, the trophy is awarded to the fundamentalist for their "achievement" and all of us are non the wiser.  Vicious cycle continues,  Pink dot will be targeted, Wear White starts making noises.  Police mobilised at our event,  staff badly treated by customers, verbal attack,  more censorship on TV drama, Commercial Advertisments, School Curriculum.  Young Gay child got sidelined, outcasted and harbour suicidal thought....and then......

Then back to the Court again, to pour greivances and fight it out.

If Policians, can treat LGBT in such a manner, they have no respect for human beings as a whole.

During the Parliamentary sitting on Monday, 4 April 2022, Law Minister K Shanmugam responded to PAP MP Yeo Wan Ling (Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC)  question on what would be done to engage different groups when considering the best way forward regarding Section 377A. Non-constituency MP Hazel Poa (Progress Singapore Party) asked what the Government’s indicators were to monitor whether society was ready for repealing 377A and how these indicators were monitored.
He said that "societal attitudes towards homosexuality have gradually shifted" since the subject was discussed in Parliament in 2007, adding  that there were currently two main viewpoints on the issue and many subsidiary viewpoints.
"On the one hand, the vast majority of Singaporeans are of the view that heterosexual marriage between a man and a woman must remain the bedrock of our society. On the other hand, many Singaporeans, including some of those who believe in the traditional family structure, feel that private consensual sex between men should not be criminalised. We will consider the various views carefully, and assess the best way forward that tries to balance the different viewpoints."

That is because this issue is more about votes than what it means to the LGBTQ community.

Gay sex is not a crime.  Seeking non gay people viewpoints only further complicate a simple issue and seen as attempting to buy voted more than protecting the LGBT

If we voted Dr Chee Soon Juan, the scenario would be greatly in favour of LGBT especially in parliament setting like this.  He is eloquent, vocal, well informed and understand the law and our LGBT people very well.   I remember he visied pinkdot when it was at its birthing stage.
