Discussion on Dental / Oral Health

Let's admit it. Clean teeth and nice breath appeal the other party to pull you close to kiss and/or push your head down to... 🤣

What are the products that we could use to boost our appeal?

  1. Is using an Electric Toothbrush more effective compared to using a normal toothbrush?

  2. Is using a Water Flosser more effective than using a dental floss which most people don't do it anyway?

  3. Do you scrape your tongue? If yes, for what?

Please share your experience. Thanks.

In my experience, the most effective oral health procedure is the OIL PULLING.  Done daily or a couple of times a week it keeps the teeth free of harmful bacteria and it can even stop and reverse the progress of cavities.

The second dental procedure should be to do whatever removes the buildup of plaque from the teeth.  This is important to prevent advancing plaque pull down the gums, making them more susceptible to gum disease.  Brushing (electric toothbrushes only reduce the physical effort of brushing,  and if this is important, one has a problem of lack of strength), using dental floss with care,  using water floss (dental pick) with care, using periodically a plaque scrapper, or, to make it easier and more expensive, have periodic visits to the dentist to have a hygienist clean the teeth,  all this works.

As reported in the magazine British Dental Journal, "There is no evidence that oil pulling can prevent cavities". Certainly it can not reverse the progress of cavities. Oil puling may only have some minor benefits similar to a standard mouthwash found in stores.

You have the right of being an "Oil Pulling Agnostic".

I once ditched a guy after he told me he brushes his teeth only once a day (at night). He was trying to go down on me but I have to stop it. So yes, having good oral hygiene is important.

Apart from 2 times a day of toothbrush brushing (electric one don’t work very well for me), I floss too. Every few months, I will do teeth whitening (SNOW brand).

Visit the dentist once every 4-6 months. Last week, she said all are good

Apart from brushing and flossing your teeth twice a day, you also need to scrap the tongue and check for tonsil stones which is the main culprit for bad breathe.

Apart from brushing and flossing my teeth every day,  doing the "oil pulling" several times a week,  depositing with brush some baking soda on the teeth once a week to reduce tartar,  I also bought an inexpensive ultrasonic tool to remove tartar, which I use periodically to avoid my gums to recede.   So far my teeth are still there,  and hopefully I can say the same at 90yo.

What era are we living in? Please lah

Grow up please

And they have to maintain professionalism, regardless what your sex life is

If going by your "logic", I (and many others, for that matter) would never ever visit a dentist out of shame/embarrassment
