This is basic, not including extra therapy sessions and exercises. 4 bedded room cost almost 5k and private rooms are min. 6.5k

Super ex to walk your last lap in life with dignity. Hope when my time come give one time fast and painless one.

This cost is outrageous.   Imagine how much good you could do to your body or to that of an older family member with 3k a month!  The healthiest food, the best exercising, the best stress relief...

The best sexercise is like an apple a day.

Bust stress, lubricates the hip and knee joints, makes you sweat buckets to remove toxins, and unlike drugs, the euphoria is not drug induced, and the afterglow lasts and lasts.

Get sexercising , everyone , even folks at nursing homes.

Even masturbation is an arm exercise.  But if you get caught in some belief  (have some brain washing),  then masturbation is "a crime against God",  like I heard in another thread here.

You don't need $3K to improve your brain function thru fasting.  Fasting helps rebuilt brain cell, and revitalise every part of your organs and blood cells.  Please throw away all your junk sugary  foods in your pantry.

Dementia and Alzheimers are the most horrible diseases anyone can experience - less for the individual suffering from them and much, much more for the family, loved ones and friends of the individual. On my recent trip to the UK, I met a friend I have known for decades. Her mother started suffering from Alzheimers in 2005. As my friend told me, for her and her brother, their mother was effectively dead 2 years ago. She recognised nobody. But still she is alive and her family pay for quite an expensive nursing home, although being in the UK they are helped by the National Health Service.

I also have an Australian friend whom I'll call David with Alzheimers living in Thailand. When I knew him he had been living in London for years and was married with two young daughters. Although i did not know it at the time, he later came out as gay, divorced and settled down with a Thai man who had recently completed his masters degree at Cambridge University. They formed their own company which was successful for a time. Then came the 2008 worldwide financial crisis. Over the next few years their business and their savings slowly collapsed. Their problems multiplied 4 years ago when David developed Alzheimers.

Finding health assistance in the UK is OK in the early part of the disease. When it comes time to move the patient into a nursing home, the costs become astronomical. That presupposes that you can actually find a room in a care home because demand far exceeds supply. So his Thai friend decided to buy a small house in Chiang Mai and move there. The costs are vastly cheaper. The Thai partner is able to afford two young carers for David and hire a car when necessary.

For those in Singapore and elsewhere in the region who might be faced with a similar situation, Thailand has been building quite a number of elderly care homes with both single and twin rooms. Several are situated in or around Chiang Mai. I see from websites that these are more like hotels apart from a common dining room. Residents have considerable freedom. Those requiring more medical attention have 24-hour nursing service on call. And the price is considerably less than in other countries. The obvious problem for the families of those with a member suffering from Alzheimers is living so far away. But it is a possible cheaper solution for some.
