Noted in some thread we have discussion on which are good/bad sauna - massaeur - places

Wondering any thread disccuss about daily shops' services which might help us to judge or avoid to being dissapointed?

As today I felt very bad and pissed off.

Never tried to do alteration before. But my old Levis jean got zip broken, in same time last week bought a bit too long 2 new jeans (as offer ma)

During 2 years in Sin-city dont have idea where to fix

Fren from my homeland told me why not try Lucky (he recommend auntie 2nd floor)

Dec 9 i tried going there but auntie not yet open (so late still not open) than i just hang arround waiting auntie open. During wandering arround found

He claimed he is the best alterator in sg specialized in Levis jean

he charged me changing zip sgd 10 - cut length of my 2 new jean 1 blue one cost sgd 10 (he claimed as need to do nice nice so not look like cut and blue a bit difficult to match colour bla bla bla - not understand needle works things) black one only sgd 6

He offer me to pick up Sat Dec 13 as he used to open Mon - Sat 11am to 8pm

But as i didnt think going orchard Dec 13 i asked what about Dec 14 sun (yesterday)

He agreed ok as he have to open extra hours due to near festive and many clients

I paid in advance total cash and would call him prior pick up

Dec 14 whole day raining too lazy to go out called him asked what time he closed (as it is is extra hour - usually closed) - He said my jeans all not done yet (Start dissapoint what the hell - he is the one offered earlier pick up Dec 13 but now not ready even i delayed 1 day already - he offered 5pm). As i am too lazy i said picked up Mon Dec 15.

Went there 12 noon as thinking lunch with my homeland food (long not going Lucky - bunch of traditional food from homeland there)

Surprise when i were there he just relax saying sorry not ready u have to come back 1pm

(deeper upset) so i went for lunch back 1 pm.

He hand over in plastic bag - and may be my fault too trusting people didnt check

Tonite i check :

Changed zip one ok

The new blue one seems length cut but longer than old one (as i instruct just cut same length to the old - changed zip one)

The black one even worse 2 finger longer (suspect nothing done on it)

Worse - since i were home already and didnt check on spot supposed i can complaint right?

In future may be i shudnt pay first prior job done well?

Call me stupid - but it is a good lesson for me

So warn u guys never ever do alteration at :

May be SG CASE need to roll out GEMS award to small shops' services like they do with big retailers annually.

Anybody have advices on best places to do alteration or may be other things?

i always go to this shop in queensway shopping centre. its a corner shop with white signboard, manned by an auntie and uncle. cheap, fast and good. they even do the levis engineer cut alteration.
