You can get that kind of remuneration if you have some specific sought-after skill. I know Algorithm programmers who bring in that much, as well as marketing managers.

I think most bosses put in longer hours than any of their employees .... because they have to make sure their business succeed ... stakes are high for them.

Not true.  I worked 10 companies, all bosses came from the same mould.  Play golf, buy big house, big car, pay low salary. always owe creditors, pay themselves high salary and happy come to work, not happy dissappear and then stomp into office to boss around before returning home to home to play with kid, fuck their wife or visit the brothel.

Each time I hope I could find a better boss, but I was dissappointed.  5 out of 10 companies went into liquidation, 3 were shakies, 1 owe salaries and the final one I am already done!!!  Happy now?

Sometimes, it pays to do your own due diligence before taking a job. Not all employers are truthful about job scope or the actual state of the company and the department you are joining. If there is high employee turnover, there must be an underlying reason for it.

It is not difficult to spot many such companies in job portals.  They never get tired putting up the same vacancies from your kindergarten days right up to your teenage years, so to speak.

I would estimate that medical doctors are in that range of remuneration or higher,  and they can achieve very comfortable working hours.

Varies from country to country.  Many doctors in pinoyland ended up working as nurse in Singapore because salary as nurse is higher here than being a doctor there.  Also depends on which specialty or highly in demand.

Not True?  would you have brain surgery by a doctor who gets paid less than a nurse?   Doctors in private practice can charge what they want, and there are more or less expensive ones.

 

I am a little surprised by their working hours.  I always thought that a surgeon would be extremely busy.  But my son has proven me wrong.  Not only he makes much more money than this topic is about,  but he has a relaxed life:  he performs most surgeries in the morning to early afternoon  (while fasting, ha ha),  then he goes home and eats something,  works in his garden,  cares for his children, and in the evening he cooks dinner for the whole family.

My understanding is, the doctor will do surgery and also do research or send overseas to participate in forum discussion. They will also follow up with patient, write reports.  I believed your son has only one patient because Americans are very healthy.

$120k-$150k pa is around $10k to $12k per month? I think manager/GM level should get such salary. And they are working normal office hours.

Americans are healthy... are you kidding?  My son operates fast, he has over 10 years experience,  but he is not independent.  He works for a company that administrates surgeons, and his pay is tied to the income he produces.

if the bosses spend their time golfing or visiting brothels, I can predict the downfall of the company too.  the companies that survive are usually helmed by highly motivated and hardworking bosses.
