Go back to EDMW la, why copy paste thread from there to here?

Come to think of it. No wonder EDMW is the cesspool it is. Got a strong contribution of the toxic gay shit-stirring gossiping gene there. Ironic considering how that forum is one of the most homophobic in SG.

many times it depends on luck in getting high salary. Not mainly the issue is on the person.

Yes it's true. Last year was 4.5k. This year is 5k. Next year will be 5.5k two years later 6k.

Fresh grad pay inflating. So when you are at work, see a fresh grad. Tekan a fresh grad.

Don't help them. Starve them from information. Sabo them. Overwork them.

Basically let them drown. They can't take it? Then they quit.

That's how you teach the company and HR value.

Instead of comparing alone how much others are earning, how about answering what can you bring to the table as compared to others?

I have a friend who is in his 40s earning $5K, knock off at the dot or earlier, siam work being assigned to him, he was complaining that his classmate is earning $30K working  in the bank.

You are too intellectual, realistic and analytical with the question asked.

U cannot blend in here.   BW wants silly, not so clever , even the simplest no brainer things to discuss , i.e  Watson or Guardian better such ?? OR why people go to gay sauna etc

So u cannot asked them some reality check question, u play along act dumb like or maybe he so so and or maybe his boss so and so ,

Just take away your common sense and participate in the discussion

I agree with Robin, I told my staff very frankly once - if u think u are worth 10k - quit and join the next company that pays u that. It's a supply and demand thing - your performance rating is based on your contribution, not based on how long you are with your company.

I am always very happy if my staff can do better then me and i encouraged them to upskill and move on or move ups. Only then i can also move on and up, if nobody ever takes over me - how can i ask to be transfer to do other roles and learn new things.

Guest Ku Ching Ku rup

Don't think all grads start at 5K, that's too simplistic.

Depends on industry, size of company.

If you work for ku ching ku rup SME, be glad that you get over 2k. Or even get paid. Or get CPF contributions.

If you are a section head of a larger set up, maybe 5 to 6 k is possible.

Civil service another thing, honors and masters get paid more than bachelors. Guys get more because they served NS.
