More productive? Not too sure. I think will may increase productivity. Depends on what you do. In the service industry it does help.

 

I am for it though.  More beneficial I think.

 

For most, they already work long hours. More than their 8 hours per day or 40 hours a week.  So the extra day off could be a motivating factor to complete their tasks on time.  There are other benefits too...like reduced travel time, eating out less, fewer clothes to wash; all adding to cost savings.

If you engaged a contractor to do a renovation  job, do you want him to appear 4 days and then disappeared 3 days weekly?

I would have liked it.   After I retired and worked as a consultant, I had plenty of flexibility to work my own hours.  And it was great. 

But now I enjoy even better my zero-day work week.    Instead, I have a seven-day work week...  for my own necessities and interests.

Workload still same. But less travel, more flexibility, more sleep so it is a plus
