kidster Posted February 17, 2024 Posted February 17, 2024 Which laptop would you recommend? Prefer lightweight with detachable screen to be used as a tablet. Tried Microsoft Surface Pro 3 before. I like the design but the battery life is too short. Quote
Vactic Posted February 17, 2024 Posted February 17, 2024 I'm using lg gram. Ultra light and 18hrs battery life Quote
kidster Posted February 18, 2024 Author Posted February 18, 2024 https://www.asus.com/sg/laptops/for-home/zenbook/asus-zenbook-duo-2024-ux8406/ This one seems very practical and useful but damn ex Quote
YeseniaConway Posted February 28, 2024 Posted February 28, 2024 (edited) I hear you on the Surface Pro 3 battery struggle! Have you considered the HP Spectre x360? It's a sleek 2-in-1 with a detachable screen, and the battery life is pretty impressive. I switched to it recently, and it's been a game-changer for my workflow. Lightweight, versatile, and a solid performer. Also, you might want to install windows 11 professional on it for the full experience. I have it myself, and I totally recommend it. Give it a look if you're exploring options! Edited February 29, 2024 by YeseniaConway Quote

Quite sure there will be some technical issues for new models https://www.asus.com/sg/laptops/for-home/zenbook/asus-zenbook-duo-2024-ux8406/ Quote
JK2E4 Posted March 1, 2024 Posted March 1, 2024 I'm mostly on Macbook Air, but also with Surface Pro 9 for work. Can get about 5-7 hours of battery life. Quote

You tested it for 18? claims are just claims usually even a mcbook can't last that long as JK truthfully pointed it out Acer is good! and with worthy budget Mcbook too pricey for some However, do not dream for a good laptop under 1.2K: I kept seeing this thread, about under 500sgd * Multi-task: while working with MS Excel/Word, you are concurrently checking email and replying them while trying to search info on google while multi-tasking while watching/listening to youtube video all at the same time Quote
Jessica690 Posted September 11, 2025 Posted September 11, 2025 It's true that actual battery life is typically less than advertised. However, Acer does appear to strike a good mix between cost and functionality. Quote
