Video: Lady Gaga obliges drag queen Lady Gagita with hug and wefie during Singapore concert, 18/5/25

On Sunday, 18 May 2025, pop icon Lady Gaga staged the first of her four Asia-exclusive shows at Singapore’s National Stadium.
The concert, entitled Lion City Mayhem, was Lady Gaga’s first reunion with Little Monsters (a loving nickname for her supporters) here in 13 years, and anticipation was high even before the start of the show as fans roused each other, throwing the venue into thunderous applause.
Despite the theatrical-esque production, Lady Gaga still managed to set aside a small section of her show to interact with the audience during the song "Vanish Into You", which proved to be one of the night's highlights.
While walking along an aisle lined by frenzied fans, she stopped momentarily to respond to drag queen Lady Gagita from the Philippines who called out to her, and obliged her with a tight hug and a cheek-to-cheek wefie. This left the drag queen (real name Vinzon Leojay Booc) in a shocked,  ecstatic rapture.
Mothership interviewed Lady Gagita just after the show was over. She said that she had been a fan and a Lady Gaga impersonator for about 15 years, adding: "I'm still on cloud nine right now. I cannot believe that our cheeks just touched. Oh my god, this is the moment... I mean, I f*ing deserve this. After impersonating Lady Gaga for 15 years, and now it's becoming true."

Lady Gaga’s current concert tour in Singapore is nothing short of extraordinary.

Her powerhouse vocals and world-class stage production are only the beginning. More than a performance, the show is a celebration of freedom and individuality, bringing together people from diverse communities, many of whom express themselves through bold, boundary-pushing costumes rarely seen in the region. In a society where such self-expression is often suppressed, Lady Gaga’s stage becomes a sanctuary.

What makes the concert even more special is her heartfelt connection with her fans. Her genuine gratitude for their love and support was deeply moving, felt in every word, every gesture. Despite her global stardom, she remains remarkably grounded. Whether she was having a meal, hugging fans, or signing autograph at a hawker centre, Lady Gaga radiates warmth, humility, and authenticity.

It wasn’t just a concert. It was a powerful, unifying experience for people from diverse communities coming together, one that Singapore won’t soon forget.

Went for the Wed show too, very good!

Negatives are the long interlude between Acts, and the mellower crowd (except during Born This Way and Poker Face, where we are loud and fabulous! :P).

Saw a white haired grandma in grandma clothes at the show, she was seated throughout the show with nary an expression or movement. I wonder who made her come
