memyselfandi Posted September 3, 2025 Posted September 3, 2025 Would you be comfortable if your date or boyfriend kept meeting up with a straight guy friend who’s already married with kids? At first glance, it may look harmless, but here’s the issue: my date hangs out with this friend only when the wife and kids are away. He even admitted he used to do this regularly when he was single. On top of that, he refuses to disclose this friend’s identity, saying it’s for ‘certain reasons.’ Even while being attached, he still makes time to meet this friend for gatherings. To me, this feels secretive and questionable. What do you guys think — is this normal friendship, or a red flag? Quote
MasterFitMalaySG4U Posted September 3, 2025 Posted September 3, 2025 Obviously Red Flag & Toxic Why are you still with him? I love to tell to his fucking face n shirtless "u r fucking gay brah!" Embarrassed him in public in many ways possible haha Some guys just need to tell off in their flaws/weaknesses tap that Quote
Steve5380 Posted September 3, 2025 Posted September 3, 2025 Even if the kind of "benefit" your BF has with this straight guy is not sexual, it is wrong that he meets regularly with him and refuses to tell you who he is. But this also depends on the relationship, how committed you are with your "date". Quote
cbm Posted September 3, 2025 Posted September 3, 2025 Your date (YD) has known his straight friend (SF) far longer than YD has known you. SF likely knows alot about YD. You should befriend SF and use SF as a knowledge resource that you can learn more about YD. If YD insists on keeping SF separate from you, that's when you should worry. Quote
memyselfandi Posted September 6, 2025 Author Posted September 6, 2025 That's what I was thinking. If there's nothing fishy between both, there isn't need to hide right? There are case whereby the partner had fun with a common friend, still can go for dining as if nth had happened. That's what happening out there now. Quote
Damienzo Posted September 6, 2025 Posted September 6, 2025 (edited) Maybe the SF is his BFF he had known for many years and meeting because they share certain “hobby” (which could be nothing sexual). Don’t be too sensitive. Maybe he don’t wish to reveal SF identity cos afraid you might feel jealous? If he is not distancing himself from you or drifting away from you while meeting SF regularly, I think is ok bah.
