JayRoss55 Posted April 16 Posted April 16 Here’s a lighthearted look at 10 types of Singaporeans you’d encounter after being urged to use fans instead of air-con: 1. The “Can Die Lah” Type Acts like you just asked them to give up oxygen. “No air-con? In Singapore? You want me to melt or what?” 2. The Energy-Saving Virtue Signaller “Actually, I’ve been using only fans for years. Save the planet, save money. You should try.” (Said while secretly holding a portable fan). 3. The Reluctant Negotiator “Okay, fan can. But must be standing fan, on max speed, pointed directly at my face. And I keep one door open for ‘airflow’.” 4. The Hawker Centre Veteran “Air-con? So wasteful. I eat at hawker centre with ceiling fans every day. See? Still alive.” (Wipes forehead with tissue). 5. The Passive-Aggressive Household Member Turns on fan, then keeps sighing loudly, fanning themselves with a magazine, and muttering “So warm hor? But never mind, we save electricity.” 6. The Tech Optimist “Have you seen those industrial bladeless fans? Or the new quiet DC motor ones? I can optimise this.” (Proceeds to research fans for 3 hours). 7. The Office Escapee “No problem, I’ll just work late at the office every day. Free air-con there.” (Uses fan at home only to sleep). 8. The Humidity Realist “Fan just blows hot, wet air around. You know relative humidity is 85% right? I’m not a steamed bun.” 9. The Kiasi Preparedness Type “Fine, but if I get heat rash or cannot sleep, I’m going to the polyclinic. And claiming from you.” 10. The Secret Air-Con User Agrees to use fan. Waits 10 minutes. “Wah so stuffy.” Turns on air-con at 25°C with timer. “Just for a while, to circulate the air.” Which type are you? Quote
Guest Derek8834 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Wah, I'm damn scared of humidity la, so I'm the steamed bun type—fan blow hot air only, cannot make it one. But hor, I'll still set air-con to 25°C with timer and tell myself it's just to "circulate air," don't play play. Quote
