Whether at your own home or a hotel room, what are the do's and don'ts for those who have hosted before. Likewise if you've been the 'visitor' to any unusual abodes. Jump in with your experiences be they good or bad, share some explicit details, or if you have recommendations for some really great, discreet hotels/rooms you have personally enjoyed. Or Regretted? cbm Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Yah apparently hosting is an issue. I don't understand why. If we exclude those who cannot host, there are people who can host but don't. For myself, I prefer hosting. Because as a guest, having to make the return journey back home after play ends feels like such a drag. I just want to lay down in bed and savour the post orgasm buzz. Me as guest: I would bring a small hand towel, wet tissues, lube, condom, drinking water, toys (depending on the situation) Others as my guests: Similar to above. One guy brings along his own hand wash. Other guys bring along their fetish wear. One guy always brings me snacks. I didn't ask for it. It's a nice gesture. Me as host: Staying by myself. I clean my place before guests arrive because I don't want to be seen as living in a pigsty. And yet I get sassy remarks from some guests about my housekeeping habits. Annoying. Hot shower, toilet, towel, toiletries, disposable shaver, lube, condom, toys (need to clean properly if different people are using), phone charging, aircon, drinking water. Sometimes drinks, snacks, prepare and cook food for them. Like if I know that we'll be playing for several hours or he's staying over, then I'll prepare food. One buddy blatantly asked me to make him dinner because he was coming over straight after work. I did of course. Then made him pay for it in the bedroom. And then there's the clean up after play is over. Clean up can be easy or extensive depending on how messy the play was. I do have to do more laundry now compared to when I wasn't hosting. No horror stories as host so far, thankfully. We did break the bed frame and I thought that my buddy would help in disassembling and disposing the broken bed frame and subsequently help with setting up the replacement/new bed frame. But no. Did those all by myself. His only contribution was to remark that the new frame is lower than the old one. Thanks hor. A stranger on Grindr messaged me and after finding out that I could host, he asked if he could go to my place to play with his partner while I continue to do my work at home. The nerve. I suggested that they go get a hotel room or a staircase. How to handle these concerns as host: - worried that guest is stalker/unstable: do your homework. Talk, chat, communicate with them first and look out for red flags. - worried about your belongings: keep important stuff hidden and secured. - worried about catfish: meet downstairs or nearby instead of direct to your place. doncoin Posted May 10 Posted May 10 So here are some tips. Make sure you have a douche in the bathroom. Soap/Shower Gel and fresh towels. Mouthwash Plenty of lube Years ago, I have invested in a set of rubber sheets. I will put it over my cotton sheets for play. Lube is easily wiped off, and after you are done, just get a cleaning spray and wipe it down, let it dry a bit and you are done, and your cotton sheets are lube/cum stains free. For safety, I have a security camera pointing at the entrance of my apt so that whoever comes in, there is a clear visual of him. Quote Love.
cbm Posted May 10 Posted May 10 (edited) Yup, I do have bidet spray. One guy commented that the pressure wasn't strong enough. Some bottoms will bring their own douche bulb, which is good. I keep a few disposable douche bulbs in case. Yes waterproof bedsheets and plastic sheet. Particularly when doing fisting or oil play. Just wipe off. But I still put towels because plastic on skin doesn't feel comfortable. I don't have to install my own because security cameras are everywhere around public areas.
