Point to notice a) is under 45 in age b) Has no outstanding debts c) lives with family, and covered by spouse provided health insurance but no private health insurance due to prior health conditions Looking for 5year and beyond investmemt periods so that some investments can be liquidised in case family has any emergency cash requirements Quote

radiusulnar Posted May 3 Posted May 3 safe and high returns is not possible. not sure what is meant by 5 year & beyond investment periods so that some can be liquidated to meet emergency cash needs. if it's going to be kept invested for 5 years or more, it usually is not easily liquidated. safe = bank deposits. covered by SDIC. very liquid. safe = SSB. can liqudiate monthly. guarantted by government. safer and so so returns, money market funds. fairly liquid but no guarantees, so not "safe". higher returns, would be some investment fund, fairly liquid but no guarantees, so not "safe".
