funky beaver Posted Monday at 03:40 PM Posted Monday at 03:40 PM Let's say hypothetically as a marketing person for a non-profit organization in performing arts, how do I do marketing to reach out to more people in the public to be interested in the art the organization is involved? Quote
doncoin Posted Monday at 09:07 PM Posted Monday at 09:07 PM Really depends on what the performing arts is? Dance? Theatre? Mime? Social media is always a good place to start. Quote Love.
cbm Posted Monday at 11:00 PM Posted Monday at 11:00 PM I've done online marketing in a previous job role. In today's environment, for your situation, I would suggest TikTok. Quote

doncoin Posted Tuesday at 03:26 PM Posted Tuesday at 03:26 PM You need a PR/Marketing campaign. Plan for 6 months. Each week, you do a social media drop on something about your NP. The weekly drops lead to a bigger story for each month, or build up to it. For the monthly main campaign, it could be a feature in a local news paper or magazine. Then you plan on TV coverage, get local media, CNA, BBC Asia, etc. to cover the event or whatever performance. Then blast it onto your social media. It is a cycle. Quote Love.
HC-B Posted Friday at 12:57 AM Posted Friday at 12:57 AM Anything non-profit in SGP that does not serve the purpose of benefitting a less privileged sector of society will drop out of the publicity radar if you don’t align yourself with either a patron or a spokesperson. That said, you’re a non profit performing arts so that’s very visual centric, social media platforms are your go-to. You can also dive into your corporate vision and mission (assuming you already have one). Use that to guide your activities and programming and as your hook when you pitch to the media. Do you provide free services or activities for children of single parents/ underprivileged? Do you have special programmes crafted for the disabled? Do you conduct on premises tours and intros for elderly groups on a regular cadence? And so on… Some PR agencies do token sum or below market rate services for non-profit corporates as a form of CSR so you can consult them. funky beaver 1 Quote
