There are many buses from Tamp, Simei and Bedok but the best bet is the blue line station Tampines West. Toilets there have been recently renovated. Regulars are as seen above when you scroll. firefight Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 Yesterday I went to SAFRA TPY for my first full training session. I didn't go up to the general training section (and luckily I didn't since there was IPPT ongoing when I was there). The free weights area L1 is spacious and has many equipment/machines/benches though given the popularity of the gym I wouldn't be surprised if there was still a wait required on those super peak timings. The crowd was a good mix of all ages and shapes, unlike Punggol or MF where it is skewed towards a younger crowd. After doing my weights I went to swim by changing into trunks and shorts and using the towel to cover my topless upper body I walked through the side door to the pool. The pool was not very crowded but still it felt small and squeezy. I tried to take a lane and share with two other guys but we barely managed to keep ourselves out of each others' ways. The water tasted more salty than MF and Tamp so it seemed easier to swim there (plus the pool seems to be shorter). I did my 10laps and went back to the showers in the same manner as I described earlier. As the steamroom was down I have no review for it but the jacuzzi was pretty comfortable in terms of jet strength and temperature. As the design is in the form of a rectangle, while it was able to fit 8pax, the narrower design made it felt more communal and closer to other guys. I am comparing to PG jacuzzi (square orientation) or MF jacuzzi (oval orientation). Despite previous posts on how spot checks were made and the need to wear something, there were still nude dudes coming in to enjoy the jacuzzi. Of course whether you enjoy squeezing with others (and with who) is subjective, I am thinking as in terms of we are all men and soldiers, that sort of feeling. Above is my review of SAFRA TPY. Only recall the fit looking guy in purple trunks who was swimming continuously closest to the line in alternate front and breaststrokes. firefight Posted March 1, 2019 Posted March 1, 2019 I was at tamp today and finally tried the new smaller steamroom after my workout. The steamroom entrance is no longer at the end of the L corridor so no more hanging around outside the steamroom to cool down but instead is right in front of the last shower cubicle. The lights have been changed abit, and the bench resized and realigned, which allow for more standing space and less sit-down space. The steam is average hot and doesn't spew out like a volcano, so it is quite comfortable though not enjoyable. The openness of the steamroom now, like TPY, makes the place seem less conducive for any nakedness but you can count on the steam to cloud outside views. Every now and then (I think in 15min intervals)when the steam stops you have to go out and start it again. A tad troublesome but helpful for those who just need a peaceful wink (or wank) after a thorough workout. Hope this information helps. Marcoknw, mate69 and yuquidam 3 Quote

firefight Posted March 2, 2019 Posted March 2, 2019 My experience today at SAFRA PG... Again since it was Sat evening there wasn't a big crowd but still enough eye candy, plenty of strong men! The one particular guy who caught my eye was the one who asked me to share the pull up machine but I gave it up after one set as I thought I had enough upper body training. Gosh he was so fit and even used the belt to add weight for pull up training. Thank you for also looking at me for abit, heh. The steamroom has been tuned up with lotsa steam so it was good for blood circulation though it is a tad noisy and smells abit stale / sour. Hope the cleaner can clean the place up and sanitize properly the place! Quote
