Nickolade Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 I work around the area (midnight shift)and I'm quite familiar with the place although I haven't really engaged in any activity there. Just need to tell you guys to be careful along that stretch. Last week, saw police cars turning in twice on two separate nights, at different times of the night. (1.30am - 3.30am) on weekdays. Also when I was finishing up my shift early Saturday morning, I took a stroll in at about 4.45am and saw a police patrol car parked further in, just slightly off to the area that you guys call "The pergola".There was no one around by then and they questioned me about why I was there, but I had a cup of coffee in my hand and I was strolling to stretch my legs, my company pass that indicated that I work there and I happened to be on the phone with a client so they didn't question me for long. :yuk: I'm not trying to spoil anyone's "fun".Just don't want you guys to get into unnecessary trouble with the law if it can be avoided.I know many of you have had successful experiences there in the past, so I'm not saying you DIE DIE will get caught with your pants down. Just sharing the recent activity that I noticed.So keep your eyes open, play safe :thumb: P.S. Weekends 1.30am - 3.30am the place sometimes gets pretty crowded because about 10-15(sometimes less)Malay biker youths usually go in and hang out by the central water catchment area/ bridge.Public holidays there are foreign workers who hang out there drinking in groups and also some locals who do illegal fishing there. Also if they do drive pass, it would be normal patrolling. But both nights, the bikers were there. 2 groups. One was just sitting near the entrance to the 1st left turn before the pergola stretch and the other going round and round making noise. Quote

As for police patrol cars, I have seen them make rounds around midnight but have never seen them come out of the cars.. but yeah please be careful, we don't want this place to disappear.. Quote

In the end last night I just decided to take the opportunity to jog around CBP, after i jog afew rounds I went back into the dark path to see if they still there, then I encountered another straight couple on a bicycle next to the bench, and the girl screamed when she saw me, thought I was a ghost.. " they seemed like thai foreigners cuz of the language they speak. Then from there I continue to jog to the pergola and the indian couple still there.. oh well, at least had a good jog and the breeze was nice. Quote
