In my experience, you need to start or join an interest group (photography, mahjong etc) in order substain to lasting friendships. In spore, I think without a common topic for regular catch up, friendships tends to fade away.

I find the idea of forming a club based on sexuality instead of actual interest to be rather superfluous, nothing turns me off then to have someone saying their interest is reading and watching the movies.

The first thing that hit my mind is "Can you be anymore ordinary than that" ?

But still if my thinking is so great I would have been surrounded by friends by now, but alas, I am alone all the time doing what I love to do.

If you find a way to know friends that share common interest with you while being able to shake away the norms, please do share your knowledge in time

I found a healthy gay activity group online. We go hiking, eating, watch movies and have photographic expeditions together. We're all bears though ... try seeking thebearproject on Facebook.
