How To Remove Suggestions From Ipad

Hi All,

Can anyone advise me how to remove the suggestions that pop up in the app store when I am doing a serach for apps?

My IPad is not secure and I do not want anyone to know that I have search for gay apps. But whenever i key in gr = grindr will appear.. very not discreet...

Pls HELP!!!!

Not sure have u found a solution yet. I have not search for such app on my iPad before but when I keyed gr, the suggest app pop up on top of the list. It's seem like the app store is suggesting app with similar name and not what u had keyed in before. As long as u did not install the app in your iPad, I don't think u need to worry about. Furthermore others should be polite not to anyhow go into the app store as that app directly link purchase to your credit card. =)

Hi, No I have not found the solution. Wrote in to Apple and they mentioned that it's a in built tingy. I have down load that apps before and have since deleted it off, but the search engine still shows. I have done a factory reset too, but no use too....Now my Ipad cannot be shown to others who may just search for gr and that just pop out.

1. I am not sure I understand you. But see whether these few wild suggestion can help.

a. You mentioned you had done a factory reset of the iPad. So the only place that could have "Remembered" is your iTune Store Account. Consider uninstalling iTunes and also signing up for a NEW iTunes account. This way you lose your exisitng contents as well as the memory of "gr..".

b. Try to see whether you can "search" and install other software starting with "Gr".... that is NOT grinder.

In this way the list gets long and perhaps grinder will get pushed off the list with the newer apps.

You can't beat them, join (and flood) them.
