Guest wozzit
Hong Kong tailoring is far superior to Bangkok - but obviously its more expensive. If u get suits made in Bangkok make sure the tailor does not make the pants too right in the crotch! Happypup

Hey guys! Sawadee Krup! Greetings from Bangkok!!! Thanks so much for all the kind advice and recommendations. I have decided on K Tailors eventally coz it is the most accessible (at least I am familiar with Platinum Mall) and it is opened by Singaporeans so I figured out that they will know our needs better. Anyway, field report! The shop is actually tended by a Singaporean (one of the co-owner) himself! At first I still thought the Singaporean bosses hires Thai staff to tend the shop. For those who are curious, he is actually quite a handsome young chap. His name is Ian. Anyway, service was great! I felt that the selection of fabric patterns was a tad too little, but Ian was super helpful and he made recommendations and suggestions on which colors/ patterns I will look good in. As for the fabric material, it is polyester and cotton mix throughout. Not like we can choose what we want. They (very) recently had a price increase! DARN!!! Hence, the prices now is 3600B for 3 shirts, 5500 for 5. As I am very new to tailoring shirts, I decided on 3 first. The customization part was fun as the price includes choice of buttons, inner linings (I love this!), collars, cuffs, etc... As usual, Ian was very patient and helpful with my 1001 questions. Went for 1st fitting the next day and BOOM, I really can see the difference between a tailored shirt and off the rack! Even though still need to amend some measurements, but I am totally FEELING my new shirt! So excited!! Can't wait for the final product on Saturday! Will update here on how it goes! Additional information: K Tailors recently opened in Singapore (Clark/boat quay) too! But Singapore price is a bit more expensive, should be S$63 per shirt I think. But they will be tailored in the same shop in Bangkok, so the wait will be slightly longer. Anyone with questions feel free to ask me! I will be collecting my shirts on Sat and will try to ask the questions for you! =)

Thanks!Yes, K Tailors is located at a corner shop in the basement of Platinum Mall. Relatively easy to find. Hmmm.. 3 days 2 nights sounds a lil short leh.. I took my measurements on Tue, got my first fitting on Wed evening and received all my shirts on Sat morning. I'm not sure about the package of mixed shirts and pants too. I don't think can. Anyway, they have a Facebook account- K Tailors BKK. Just add them and look for Ian. He should be able to answer your questions better. Hope you are going soon coz they are gonna increase rates again! You can say Arthur recommend you one.. =PAs for the review of the shirts, I totally LOVE them when I collected! They looked much nicer than I pictured in my mind with all the customization. The only drawback is that they look quite crumpled. Maybe it's because haven't iron before. I think its the main bosses that handles the outlet siah! But I definitely will prefer Bkk anytime since I can do first fitting and get the shirts within a few days. Plus it's a bit cheaper too. How bad was your experience?Marcella not bad tho..I was considering there too coz the price seems ok, but I read some feedback that the material of the entry level of shirts are very thin and crumples easily. Guest Guest
Disclaimer: Im not affiliated to them or whatever but im just pasting this info which they had sent me cos i visit them before and its solely for discussion in the forum and not soliciting i was in bangkok and i feel Alex's fashion neighbor, armani or not (the shop next to them) has more fabric styles and they got more collar and sleeve designs to choose from and maybe they arent as famous as alex's fashion so i feel they got more customer service and sometimes they throw in some customization you want to do on your shirt like dual collar etc for free unlike alex that charges you another 200-500 baht for it depending on complexity they are also very popular with singaporean, needless to say from their sg namecards and sg patrons. and they can produce shirts for fitting much faster than alex's fashion comparing the both, i choose armani because, im not that old yet to only want to wear simple, plain 1 tone shirt. i can customerise and choose different styles for collars and sleeves etc at no extra charges so why pay more for the same tailoring. after all, we are there to save money right. else we might as well do in sg Alex’s Fashion Bangkok Tailoring Next visit to Singapore 1st July 2015 arrive 5pm till 5th July 5pm, booking appointment now accepted, note if u visit alone minimum order must be sg $200 or u can bring friends and combine send to 1 address. Also note bring sample shirt and pant to copy for more accurate sizing as there is no fitting in Singapore. Delivery 6-8 weeks. Appointment taken from 10am to 7:30pm. Lunch break 1pm t0 2:30pm. Venue Hotel supreme cavenagh rd orchard, booking appointment in advance now accepted. Thx for ur support for all these yrs. Prices include mailing and taxes. Happypup
Ok, so I've tried the shirts. All the cuttings are awesome, but only 1 (checkered) dosen't crumple easily. The other 2, especially the peach shirt crumples like crazy.. aaargh... So disappointed! Will bring over the checkered shirt which I love next time and ask for the same quality... Guest Gendut
I guess paying cheap has its standard and same goes for the expensive. I think I read somewhere that some tailor in bkk is a fabric seller. Yes some tailors are doing short cuts which they purchased shirts in S, M & L and they alter it. So the finished product may not be good and don't forget to wash it separately on the first run. Cheers buddy!!

Happypup
Hmmm.. I haven't tried them, but when researching previously, you just need to make sure that the prices are agreed on and give them a bit of buffer (i.e. don't tell them your actual departure date. Tell them a day or 2 earlier) in case of any delays. Copying shouldn't be much of a problem bah.. Not like need them to redesign or something... =)

onlylonely
Used to make at Marcella and thought it was okay and fitting but they got acquired. For the same price, you can opt for more premium selections in bkk. Usually take about 1 measurement and 1 fitting in bkk. Best to stay near the tailor..
