BP-stock Posted August 21, 2011 Report Share Posted August 21, 2011 why isn't it a positive video? it's very much positive and empowering in my opinion. really says a lot not only about sexuality, but also the complexity within communities formed surrounding specific identities - race, age, gender etc.. and then there's also the intricate relationships between money, lust, labour, love. how do we disentangle them? or is there a need to?just as how the video ends with the note that "desires drive politics", i think desires are also highly political and politicized. I think its the shot of the guy dancing in his underwear with cash in it that changed my mentality towards the video. I feel it kinda takes the msg to another place.
