Also, she should be smart enough to not put her fingers on the rim of the piano case. It has happened that the support for the lid was not engaged right and the heavy lid fell back down, and this would be the end of her fingers... Quote

(Joe Perry) Bonus Track: Excellent post! Classical guitar creates a great sound and it is very soothing to hear. On your "bonus track", Marcin is a genius of the guitar, fun to watch. I still prefer a classical play of Bizet's Habanera, so perfect for this instrument. Something simple like this: WHY didn't J.S. Bach write music specifically for guitar? I like the sound in the following video more than Bach's clave. Also his Partita for the 4 strings of the violin sound good on the 6 strings of the guitar. But there might be one detail: in his days there might not have been a guitar player like Andres Segovia... what he does with only 6 strings... ! Edited January 25, 2024 by Steve5380 Quote

Steve5380 Posted February 2, 2024 Posted February 2, 2024 Songs, songs... so many beautiful-emo ones... Few fill my heart with so much emotions as Schubert's Winterreise lieder. And here I have discovered a version where the singer is accompanied not by the original piano, but by guitar. I am amazed by what a nice job the guitar does here. What might have thought Schubert about this? He would have loved this performance, but I doubt that such good classical guitarists existed in his days in Vienna. Quote
