Nightmare Massage Client

Dear all,

I am an outcall masseur. Recently I got a client who took advantage of my kindness. I need some advice on the next step I should take.

The first time he booked me, he did not bring his ID and the hotel did not allow him to enter. I did tell him previously that I could book for him but he has to flash his ID when passing reception. Our appointment 3pm, he arrived 3.15pm. So I paid 30 for a mistake of his.

He told me to go to Balestier instead and be prepared for an appointment at 4pm as he will go home to get his ID. I was thinking, some business is better than no business, so I went to Balestier as instructed. Then he delayed again and told me to wait till 5.15pm. Ok, earning money is not easy after all. So I waited again and got the room at 5pm before servicing him.

Before concluding the session, I did mention to him the bill and he agreed. The bill was to include the 1st and 2nd room rate and whatever services I rendered. When we prepared to leave, he was short of $30 and told me that he will pay me again the next time he engages me. I felt it was better he withdraw from nearby ATM but he declined as he had to rush for an appointment. I thought no big deal and left.

After returning home, I gave him a message that if the next appointment was too distant in the future, he should do an account transfer. I furnished my account type and number. I did not receive a reply from him. And I was thinking its not a problem as he was busy. I sent him a message again the next day and called him. He did not pick up. On the third day, I again sent him a message and called him, but by then, I was pretty upset.

He finally picked up my call and said that he was not going to pay for the 2nd hotel room and told me not to call again. I sent him a message to tell him to pay what he owed and promised and what I had worked and sacrificed for. He replied that he was going to the police. My conscience was clear and had nothing to hide. So I told him to go to the police and I will be honest in my statements.

He did not reply. I was quite upset and decided to google his number . The surprise was both his numbers was used in his job as an real-estate agent in a reputable company. Sold many units for a number of years. In my hot-headedness, I used this against him and threatened him. He then said he was busy, that he will settle next week, and that I should not worry. I gave him till tonight to send me the 30.

I chose to post this in the flaming room as I know this post will draw many varying strong opinions.

Yes, 30 is not alot, but it's a lot to someone who is in need and when every cent counts. 30 is a small sum but it's also a matter of principle. How many times have the meek and the kind been bullied?

Yes, I did contravene some rules in massage / escort such as discretion and trusting too much. These I have to take full responsibility. Discretion is a must in our industry but its on equal terms and conditional. Treat us fairly and we will treat you as our utmost VIP.

Posting this is a huge discredit to my business and will turn many potential clients off. But I wish to send a message to those who think of taking advantage of people's patience and kindness: Don't ever find me.

Following this experience, I have learnt a few things..

1. Never give trust freely. Trust is earned.

2. When booking rooms for clients, be careful.

3. When receiving benefits be firm.

One thing you can do is to remember such a rogue client's profile and spread the word among other clients and masseurs.

Naturally you would need to take precautions against such tactics and if familiar cases arise in the future,you

would be better equipped to handle it.

I don't think posting this would be a turn-off for customers as you have paid your dues in effort in trying your best to serve that S.O.B.

For those who have requested his contacts, I still wish to give this bugger a chance. Up till now he is still ignoring my messages and calls. I have his photo, contact numbers, email, company and even licence number, full name etc. But discretion is a watchword in our industry and culture, and I wish to preserve this as long as I can.

I am thinking about the long term implications and how this will have an impact on PLU and his company.

Thing is, if he chooses to be an ass about it, there really isnt much reason for you to be nice to him. Its only right that he pays for the extra costs as it was incurred due to him. I doubt he would like to blow the matter up as he has more to lose than you. Stand firm and don't let the bugger push you around.

I'm pretty sure he should know the powers of rumors in our circle itself. If he doesn't wish to be nice, you can always play dirty

Dear all,

After a good run and clearing of the head and heart, I have decided to move on and forget about this shxx. It's unhealthy for me to live with him as a burden on my chest. To date, he is still nonchalant and has shut me out.

I am not sure if his Agency should be dragged into this, but I do know that I will steer clear of this man and this agency in my real-estate choices. I am not sure if his associates should be tainted because of his deception and wiles, but I doubt I will wish to work with any of them. Every time this agency appears in the media, my heart will be filled with disgust because of the actions of this man. It's unfair, but in marketing, impression and perception is everything. Sh_t always has a spillover effect.

Mr Jeff K., you who have hurt me, I need to forgive and forget, and only time will do that healing. But others need to be protected as well. If you can cheat someone of $30, you can also cheat them of $300 or $3000. Crimes always start small.

If you are in the same industry as me (doing massage and services), looking into real estate, or buying or renting a place, or working as a real-estate agent, and wish to protect yourself from this fox, PM me and I will release his details. That way the damage to innocent parties (such as his organization) will be controlled but other innocent parties can still be protected.

Though he has wronged me and I am sure others. I implore those who have his details to still practice discretion, and not post it again elsewhere. Keep it in your heart and protect yourself when the day comes. We will not lower ourselves to anywhere near his level. This story will be left as something to teach others and to learn from.

Bro U are a true gentleman. I respect you for keeping info about this lousy 'client' under wraps bcos of masseur/client privilege.
