Dear OralB... the problem about the sub forum mod suggestion is that one needs to have an interest in creating a sub forum to begin with. There were NO suggestions and NO guidelines. Can I say, oh, I am interested in keeping little animals, can I be a section mod for pets? I seriously dun mind. BUT, then who will want to discuss on pets here??? It is only because Ikutube is so well versed in IT matters and he realised that IT is an area that has a lot of queries that he thinks it is a good idea to have that sub forum.

You cannot fault people for not volunteering for something just like that.

A good way to get people to help is to SUGGEST a few sub forums first. Erotic fictional stories might be one... there are so many writers here. Someone might be willing to help moderate such a sub-forum... But without a specific guideline from you mods, who would think it is ok to have a erotic fiction sub-forum...

And Lungker, I risk incurring your wrath to say this, but I think I should. With all due respect, I think as a moderator, regardless for what kind of forum, it pays to be less personal and heated in an argument with members (and in this forum, with unregistered guests as well). You might not want to win a popularity contest and you might heck care about gaining personal respect from the members and guests, but being a moderator means you have to, somehow, help to uphold the image of the forum and your fellow moderators AND the respect for your fellow moderators AND the respect FOR the TITLE of a moderator.

This is an unwritten rule of being a moderator in any forum. Why would you think people run to ask for moderators' help in a forum? You are the front runners, the people members look up to, that's why. I am not telling you on how to be a moderator... I am just sharing my experience with you. Whether or not you are not interested to listen to what I suggest, or even to flame me for this, it is ultimately your decision.

To all of US: many a times, posts are not meant to be hurting or personal, but as the words on the screen do not carry a tone, in a heated moment, things can easily go haywired... Sometimes, it pays to take a deep breath, close the window, go for a toilet break, smoke break, read some jokes etc and then decide whether or not to reply. Sometimes, things read differently when you return. Then there are less heated moments... And everyone's health will be less affected.

mods are like counsellors, or social worker or teacher, i do not see foul mouthed counsellors or teachers. Whether Lungker is a mod or not is not the issue to me. Trust me, I couldn't care less. I have more important things to do. But let me share this with everyone (mods and members alike) : It doesn't kill to have a little tact. People piss other people off all the time. But there's no reason to be tactless. You'll be seen as rude, unreasonable, etc. Sometimes it's good to put yourself into other people's shoes.

To the guests and the unreasonable members in this forum: Put yourself into the mods shoes. I cook very well. Can I join in? I had a recipe for "Japanese dressing" that comes great with cold noodles or warm squid salad, as below :

70g onion, peeled and finely chopped

1 tablespoon sesame oil

2 tablespoons rice vinegar

1 tablespoon grapeseed oil

3 tablespoons soy sauce

1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar

1/4 teaspoon English masturd powder

sea salt and freshly ground black pepper

Put all the ingredients together in a jam jar. Shake well until the salt has

dissolved. Then add in 2 tablespoons of water and shake well.

I got more recipes. And I really like cooking!
