It was also a means to tell the world that PAP knows everything.

Too bad..

Back to the industrious nature of MP... they are selected through stringent rounds of recommendations/proposals and interviews.

They cant be a NOBODY in their respective area of work/contribution.

And once elected, they are there to serve the residents.

Of course, the MP's allowance is quite sizeable to a layman but it is the social clout （为人民服务， 不为钱 但有名）

This is not to say the effectiveness of the elected MP...

Mine is horrendous and looks like a PIG... still the Lift Upgrading Programme has not been implemented physically..

I would disagree with that. I really don't care much about Michael Palmer's affair, neither was I interested in YSL's affair too. Like what the last guy had said: what one do in his private life has nothing to do with his professional life, public figure or no public figure. However, I went all out to bash Michael Palmer in, just so that he can have a taste of the same medicine that his party had meted out to YSL during the YSL saga. Let teh lesson be learnt: People living in glass houses shouldn't be throwing stones (and much less be having sexual affairs inside).

Think carefully about it. This is the exact same reason they are peeping into closed door and deciding that what happens between two consenting adults are the public's business. Hence 377A is there.

I dont think anyone would know if someone would have an affair. Besides, it's already mentioned that he was doing a great job as an MP. In that aspect, I think they didn't screw up when they hired Palmer. You can't judge a person by if they would have an affair if you were to hire them. It's something that cannot be expected.

N I m not a a pap member, ypap member( 2 old to be a " y"), a Safra member, an ntuc member, passion card or member to any govt or political clubs hor, neither did I take part in any " conversation" or " meet the people" session, took part in ndp, or any rally or met my mp hor. The only thing I was remotely associated was when I was 5 till 6 years old when I we t to the pap kindergarten in ghim moh. So please hor, if I m a pap member I will say it but I m not.

i think she's so spot on when highlighting the issues and summarising concerns of people living around Punggol East SMC area. It's as if she's one of us, going through the things we experiencing, together.

1) Really need more kopitaim. Want to eat only got 1 choice within walking distance
