passby
MacRitchie Golf Link route is partially closed due to a collapsed "bridge lookalike walkway" at the golf course. From the main entrance, better to turn right towards Tree Top Walk direction unless you wanna bash... Jelutong tower is still open and accessible. Having access to running water is a challenge up in Nuang, especially from Pacat Camp upwards. Campsites at Lolo are still nearby to the river. If you want privacy and seclusion, there is another campsite which is off the main trail but it requires a little bit of bushwhacking. Rarely hikers use this trail so one can have the entire campsite to themselves. k13v

It's roughly about $600-800 excluding airfare and own expenses (depends on group size as well), there's seasons where it's very popular for climbing. I would advise you to book with those adventure companies if you have never done anything like it before. I believe it's best to book at least a couple of months in advance. You might need to spend some money on gears although Kinabalu is a technically easy mountain. You will still need a good pair of shoes, and some cold weather clothing if you intend to summit etc. 1 hour ago, Javenseb said: I am new to this... Any criteria or gear to trek or hike? U must wear it few times or daily for normal daily routine like going to work. Reason is to give time for the new shoes to mould to ur feet... or u r going to get a nasty blister on ur hike... wilfgene
