I'm doing Annapurna Circuit in late Feb to Mar next year. Anyone interested?

I will also be doing a Bukit Timah to MacRitchie walk next week with my non aj frens to break in my new trekking boots. If it's good fun, I will organize one for BW ok? lol

Lol interested in which? Annapurna circuit (AC) or the Bukit Timah to MacRitchie hike?

Note that AC is a major undertaking, requiring time, money and commitment ... so PM me if you are really interested and prepared to commit, we can work something out ...

Have you gone to Gn Nuang for the camping & hiking trip?

Having access to running water is a challenge up in Nuang, especially from Pacat Camp upwards. Campsites at Lolo are still nearby to the river.

If you want privacy and seclusion, there is another campsite which is off the main trail but it requires a little bit of bushwhacking. Rarely hikers use this trail so one can have the entire campsite to themselves. ;)

It all depends on the group chemistry. If right, then it will be a good outing. Otherwise, it can be hell hahaha...

I do solo camping once in a while & I do enjoy it - no need to cook for others or watch out for them.

Trekking at the newly opened Chestnut Nature Park (full route) today 3pm. My friend and I are doing this route and thought of inviting others to join. I know it's a bit last minute but we'll organize another one soon. PM me if you want to come. =)

I heard its expensive. how much is it now? must booking very early too rite?

It's roughly about $600-800 excluding airfare and own expenses (depends on group size as well), there's seasons where it's very popular for climbing. I would advise you to book with those adventure companies if you have never done anything like it before. I believe it's best to book at least a couple of months in advance.

You might need to spend some money on gears although Kinabalu is a technically easy mountain. You will still need a good pair of shoes, and some cold weather clothing if you intend to summit etc.

I am new to this... Any criteria or gear to trek or hike?

Depends on where you intend to trek. Any location in mind?

Meaning must buying hiking gears... I don't even know I am really interested.. must spend first ah

No.... meaning do not use ur brand new hiking gears.... like shoes! U must wear it few times or daily for normal daily routine like going to work. Reason is to give time for the new shoes to mould to ur feet... or u r going to get a nasty blister on ur hike...
