Guest PolyDays
I would like to start this thread for nostalgic reasons. To start: i had mentioned about the old toilets in Bouna Vista MRT before renovation in another thread. One of my favorite playground was the hilltop beside this MRT station where the Star Vista is now standing. There was a big tree surrounded with dense bushes. There were also vacant old colonial houses. Sometimes, I studied late and went there around 9+. I could see people (men of course) walking, standing or sitting everywhere on the hill slope, beside the drain railing, etc. I once had a crazy orgy in the bushes. Hands were all over my body and cocks were anywhere for grab to jo. While playing, we could see the trains passing by and the people inside but they could not see us. On some days, there were police spot check. Someone would give warning when he saw a police car entering the side road below and we quickly dispersed. Those were the days ...... sg_libran

Guest cruser
it's no use reminiscing over this. Singapore is too small and too well controlled for cruising. Cruising is still quite active in Bangkok and China because of there's plenty of quiet malls and open parks. But the hot spots will change frequently when security notice them. You have to know some locals to tell you where. But it is dangerous nowadays not from the police but from mobile phone cams. You find many such videos on the net. But since the country is big, they don't worry about friends knowing.

Guest
I really pity the young gays, they don't get to enjoy what we have enjoy during 1970-1990s, gay live is so colourful and full of exciting at that time. You can just walk on the street, at shopping Centre, swimming pool, toilets, parks and gardens, libraries, pubs, bars etc, you can meet gays to have fun with. Now a days, it is only in the saunas.so sad.

Now everything is just so convenient and cock concentrated no more challenging. Those in their 20s will not be able to live those places long gone. Those in their 30s today will probably catch a gilmse of some surviving cruising place. Those in their 40s onwards (assuming they were not homely type in those days) would have experienced full cruising adventures in many discrete places. Discrete I mean, our population was not as crowded as today and you can easily find park which are desserted, remote and already quiet when the clock hit 8pm. However, the only downside is you can't find room to sex once you hook up someone. The only place to sex is to find bushes (mostly near east side like Fort Road, East Coast Park, toilet, inside car (if one of the guy drive), broken down building (mostly construction site). The reasons why crusiing has lessen and became nearly non-existence (other than old uncles with time to spare inside toilet for hours) are: 1) Increase population with huge Crowds (the greatest deterrent factor) 2) Toilet became smaller (with mirror-like flooring) as developer became stingy in constructing bigger washroom unlike in old malls where toilets were "huge" and well-partitioned. 3) Singaporeans became more nosey and love complaining (supported with their spy cam photo/video) - thanks to smart phone. 4) As many have said, all the cruisy bushy places were bull-dozed, in place is nearly organised garden with occasional patrolling guards. 5) With xxistence of several commercial suanas, who need to cruise anymore due to risk of being caught? 6) Cruisers departed from the scene due to the above or other reasons, shrinking the cruiser population. 7) Increase in HIV infection created fear. 8) More porn videos on internet (unlike in the 80s/90s) and people can just jerk off in front of PC if horny. It was like who need to buy music CD when you have itune/youtube? Same concept apply here. 9. Anti-LGBT christian groups have became mega unlike in the 80/90s. the list goes on...you may add. abang
Has anyone forgotten to add the Grand Old Dame of cruising in the 70s and 80s? Yes I am talking about Hong Lim Park, the place where I brushed up my Teochew (Chinese dialect). Earlier on, there was even a night makan place across the street (think it stopped in early 80s) It was way before the Fort Road Beach and it was always crowded with an assortment of men. It was fun knowing someone new and it was not uncommon to "enter" stranger's car. That was years before HIV and AIDS. Have anyone of you heard of AIDS as "Ah gua is dying soon" in the military? I declared I was (still am) a 302 medical classification half -way through my NS and after my medical board and news leaked out, I received many offers for happy endings...I ended up with a LTA and for almost that particular year, we were "covering" our tracks in camp. No one could believe Mr. Macho and I had sex on the beach repetitively at the PA Yacht Club area. We ended our rendezvous when he ord before me. Those were the days before anything ...no beepers, no handphones and apps. I did not encounter him at the uni too.. strange, Singapore is so small but yet, it is so difficult to locate him. The old man who was collecting entrance fee also rented out his little room for those who needed a place for a good fuck. abang
I am inside the confession box... I was a Fort Road Beach regular from the late 80s to its closure in early 2005. That stretch was the place where I spent many afternoons during the weekend. How could you beat this: tanning in the nude with a good book to read and the occasional "visit" by a fellow beachcomber . Those days are gone forever ... Side track...Liang Court was a spillover from River Valley Swimming Pool. The cruising at the pool continues there as I window-shopped at Daimaru and the former New Otani Hotel If there is a need for food and drinks (sugar cane drink), there was always the reliable Hill Street Market... a hawker centre across Funan.... Now everything is just a memory...all demolished.... luvhandle
