I’ve just heard that my landlord is thinking of selling the property and I’m worried that if he does, the new owner might not allow us to stay. My husband and I are trying for a baby and if we succeed in getting pregnant, I’m afraid that moving house while pregnant may cause the baby problems (as Chinese believe cannot move house while pregnant). Should I break the lease and move to my inlaw’s place now or wait? It depends on whether you would like to stay or leave. If you wish to stay, then you can request the help of your local spirit landlords of your new home and ask them to help you stay. My brother loves buying new bags so when he gets a new one, I inherit his old ones! Recently he gave me one of his older LV handbags! I heard that it is not auspicious to use second-hand bags. It’s a very nice bag – something I won’t be able to afford myself - so please advise! Generally it is always more auspicious to get a brand-new bag but if the bag he has given you is in good condition – almost like new –then it is OK. If it has tears, holes and scratches then I suggest you do not use it. You should not receive an empty handbag – ask your brother to place an angpow containing some money inside and then it becomes very auspicious. The right half overlooks a natural body of water. Is this auspicious ? Should I place Fu Dogs in the balcony corners? My dear… since the poison arrow from the canopy is coming from your NW direction (which is metal element) you can minimise the harmful effects by using fire energy. Install a spot light on the top of your balcony roof and shine it back directly at the direction of the canopy. This is an effective way to diffuse the poison arrow. The jade broke in clean equal halves some time ago as I was trying to put it on. I’ve since glued it back together using jewellery glue and it looks like new. Unless you scrutinize it, you can’t tell that it was broken. Is it OK to still wear this jade? Would it bring me bad luck if I wear it? Oh dear… I’m very pantang [taboo] about these things… especially when it comes to jade bangles. Jade bangles can protect you from harm but if it is broken, you should not glue it back as a bangle. Get your jeweller to make earrings or a pendant necklace from the broken pieces. Cleanse away any negative vibes by soaking it in hot water steeped with sea or rock salt before wearing it again. I'm not a Buddhist or Taoist, but I recall that in 2014, my Chinese zodiac animal clashed with the Tai Sui, and in that year, I had some ex-colleagues who tried to stir up trouble for me in my present company. Also, my office computer crashed and I lost all my files. And I had one or two serious bouts of illnesses that year (flu, migraine).
