How else can she have this anti-homosexual fanaticism in these days where the nature of homosexuality and homosexuals is being revealed like never before?  How can she cling to those old stories from the days nothing was known about sexual orientation, much less basic psychology, old stories she knows exclusively through pure hearsay.  She was not there in biblical times, and all she knows (and we know) from those times are copies of copies of old scriptures written by unknown people for unknown reasons.

Those who worried too much and always looking Grumpy.  They are likely to attack people who doesn't share their belief system. They behaved like God or rather, they thought their action of self-righteousness will touch God.  As a result, they sought power to evangelise hate against an imperfect world and became a control freak.  They are the fan of a Pharisee.  In my layman perspective, they are poisonous hornets everyone should stay away from.

The more they tried, the longer is their distance from heaven for denying that GOD has already finished all the work through the sacrifice of his son. 

 

Only by practicising Grace and have Faith that all sins are forgiven through the death of Jesus, Category 1 Chrisitian  have kept still and rested well in the spirit, not from the fresh. Thus, they earned the love of GOD and given sonship to be seated next to HIM, now and forever.

I liked your idea of the two categories, but I think you mix them with a lot of fantasy.  Our world DOES NOT APPEAR to be a "finished product" by any God.  I agree that if there is a God, something debatable, he bears total responsibility for the existence of sin.  A creator is responsible for his creation.  So if he sacrifices Jesus (that is, himself) to gather back the sins of the world,  which were strangely scattered like from a pandora box, this is perfectly fair.   What I don't see is what "grace" and "love" have to do in all this.  It should be a matter of justice, which does not require us to "love" any real or imaginary divinity, and even more importantly, such divinity should not care if we have "faith" in it or not.

"Degrees collector" defines him well.  Maybe also "perennial student". 

One also wonders what all these degrees are good for.  "higher education", "marketing", "law". "philosophy"... does not give much guarantee of having an UNDERSTANDING of the world that could lead to positive ideas.  It simply means that he passed a bunch of tests. 

 

I really feel sorry for the NUS students who have to attend his lectures and put up with him.  I question the value of his lectures, which he reads in a stuttering way from some writing.  Why not better give this writing (in easy to read format) to his students and then have a discussion online where students get time to prepare their comments and write them down?  It also takes some nerve to qualify this process as that of a "research scholar".  It might be more positive the discussions by some seniors who can base their opinions on their experience,  instead of this book worm who only filled his mind with ideas of others.

GRACE and LOVE is not an adjective.  It is a noun, synonymous to Jesus Christ. 

SIN is synonymous to the Fresh of man, because man CAN NEVER BE PERFECT.

 

Our SINS have been justified through the blood of GOD.  If God (who is now called GRACE & LOVE)  has promised not to judge us, let alone Thio & church in their Fresh (SIN).

SIN is a concept created by those who want to control others.   First they make you believe you are Sinful and the only way you can be absolved from those "implied" Sins is only through them. In that way, they got you by the balls, if you believe in their lies (why aren't some people even a little bit curious as to why only they can forgive you? for something through no fault of yours??)  .   People with old thinking, could not negotiate an outcome and wanted things their way all the time, uses that to make others obligate to them, so that you are indebted to them for the rest of your lives and is obligated to do as they wish. Even my uneducated father uses that on us all the time...I guess you are familiar with that too i.e. "we gave birth to you, so you owe us etc etc!"  (but the fact is life is not a bed of roses as they made it out to be...we did not asked to be born or created, if they chose to give birth or create us, its entirely their choice and they shouldn't  hold that against us) Only humans do that...no other living being on earth does that.

But with a healthy mind we can forget about this curse and live a happy life.

Its just one suffering after another....e.g. if you don't find food you suffer from hunger, if you don't drink you suffer thirst, if you don't get sex you suffer from frustration, if you don't study hard you can't compete, can't find a well paying job and can't find enough money to relief all your other sufferings and you suffer even more, when you get no companionship you suffer from loneliness, if you get sick you suffer from aches and pains, when you get old you suffer the pains of all the degenerative diseases..not to mention all the other sufferings that can happen in life.....the only joys are momentary when you put in hard efforts to find release from your ongoing sufferings that are the default of life  i.e. get food, get money, get companionship, get a roof over your head, get sex etc etc!!!  Should I be thankful to the creator for all those sufferings in life by default, are you grateful for all those sufferings? what is there so much to be thankful about??? So if you get sick or injured and cannot work to make money to feed yourself, do you thanks the creator for feeding you or make you not hungry at least to relief your suffering from hunger?? Its all just BS!!!  the creator can uncreate all for all I care!!!

Apparently her book is not getting much promotion.

It was published over three years ago (July 2013) by a publishing company in Singapore. 

The book is listed in Amazon.  In these 3 years NOBODY has written a review of it.

This is super unusual for a controversial book.  It should have multitude of pro and con reviews...

This means that people properly don't give a damn about Li-ann Thio.

 

On the Amazon website, one can "look inside" the book and read excerpts of it.

This is how I got an idea of what it is about.  I would never spend one cent for any book of hers!
