so what else hasn’t surface ? 

 

So my 2 cents worth opinion for those who wants something new with unpredictable twist and turn ; IF U HV watched zhen huan u may skip Ruyi 

 

i will I’ll move on to 延禧today since there are so many hypes here .  Let see if it is something new and unpredictable OR...... 123 into it u can almost predict the 4567 coming up ! 

 

 

Good luck to you then as you can also match the above with the characters in Yanxi. You have GAO gui fei, WEI yin lou, MING yu, ER Qin, ........ etc etc.

i m  so glad that some of my professional colleagues have concluded that Ruyi is indeed better (though Yanxi is not bad, i admitted)

Ruyi improved after 1st few episodes but still, the storyline twisted history too much.

Anyway Yanxi has started to broadcast on china tv stations eg Zhejiang TV after the earlier round of internet broadcast. Probably starting another wave of popularity.

Ruyi initially planned to broadcast on both internet and tv but run into delay due to its storyline and actors' salary ratio issue. Now can only show online.

I am on your side.  One of my family member always complained about scene being to exaggerated.... I constantly have to remind him that it is a drama , supposed to dramatize it .  If u want all factual, pls go discovery or documentary channels .

Actually YanXi was edited from 94 episodes  to the current 70 episodes. A lot of exciting scenes was cut away. Like the scene how the 顺嫔 appear in the palace, her plot of revenge. 薾琴son who grew up and tried to seek revenge on 魏樱落 by going after the princess (魏樱落daughter) but soon find that he fell in love with her. 

 

If the full movie was release, i think Yanxi will be much nicer.

Heard so much about this drama & finally started watching it till episode 7. I am disappointed that I find it very boring & nearly fell asleep several times. Worst of all is, I found the 2 theme music in the drama was copied from the theme music of another drama War & Beauty & then amended (after the first part). I know HK is under China. But can’t they stop the copy cat thingy??? Roll eyes...

It's not copied. The person who created the music for Yanxi is the same HK guy 陈国梁 from TVB drama War & Beauty.

Regardless, watched till episode 9. Find the plot to be not logical, trying a bit hard. Not sure how much more stamina to carry on watching...

Pei4 Yue4. 乐can be pronounced two ways. Le4 for happy, joyful. Yue4 for music.

you are right! for Yanxi it is all about illogical story lines that makes u feel high, love the speed n basically nothing much (except the emperor is a convincing role w Empress FuCha)
it let u felt heroic and karma is working so well

 

in life, not everything can be revenged, sometimes, even when nt getting revenged, u have to swallow it too

Just finished watching 如懿传. Such a good well-acted drama. 周迅is an excellent actress, her craft is so layered and complex. Although the plot momentum is slower than 延禧攻略, it is artistically superior. For example, in the final meeting between 如懿 and the emperor, she no longer referred to herself as “臣妾“, but instead “我”. This is her reasserting herself following her self-declared divorce from the emperor.

Yes! but many keep insisting that Ruyi's productions is shoddy / lousy and cheap (the conferment of empress Ruyi, or 出巡‘s scenes were all so elaborated)
i didnt noticed about the "Wo" though, u r so observant! 

but it could be she  knew she is NO longer the empress(she didnt retrieve back her 册宝 yet), she is lower than a higher consort  (but she is more than happie w that )
hence she didnt really expect hw to reply when the Emperor casually asked her to  look after the palaces when she declined her invite
Emperor will tend to address her as "皇后 "too(instead of你可愿陪同朕一起去秋狝 ) but he  didnt, so she has  to react appropriately (she didnt slight kneel immed that most will)
if really need to zoom in, it should be the line when emperor ask her not to bear grudges, she replied "those matters (then she purposely paused) already forgotten" 
nothing could be forgotten esp towards the man whom u loved deeply( can forgive but cant forget)

I like this thread very much , though most sharings are by Guest and the title is called yanxi, it doesnt mean we cannot share its closest rival ie Ruyi 
(dont have to be rigid at times)

Even the lowest rank consort is required to use “臣妾” as a self-reference. Also the emperor had wanted to return the 册宝 but she rejected, so as between them, she knew where she stands. This is the part where 周迅’s acting is so sublime - the defiance and forgiveness all conveyed through her eyes. She had many such 内心戏moments throughout the whole series, no need for lines. Undoubtedly the most talented Chinese actor of her generation and deserving of being the only one who has achieved the “Grand Slam” of Chinese film awards.

看到第7集后，觉得甄嬛里的华妃演得比在延禧里的高贵妃还要好！

华妃虽然跋扈，但是有她那一份可爱和怜惜。

高贵妃只有恨角色，当然华妃的美自然不在话下。然而，高贵妃真他妈的丑！

看到第7集，却没见到高贵妃和皇帝的接触。

前前后后只见到她与其他妃子们的戏。

 

然而，在剧里我非常喜欢皇后。喜欢她的那一份仁慈及对事的处理方法

其实延禧里的配角演员都算老戏骨，只不过剧本人物塑造简单，缺乏层次感，所以演员也没有太多发挥的机会。这方面如懿传就更甚一筹。

Many of my friends and colleagues sharing online NON-stop that how good Yanxi is, if u mentioned otherwise, they hated u to the core!!!

Glad that there are a rare few who turned to Ruyi and felt that Yanxi is like watching a kindergarten putting up a fantastic short & hot-blooded youngster trying to fight for future
Ruyi - Open-University LEVEL, more for matured and pp with depth!

@Hole4use shd spend time viewing Ruyi instead and not just Yanxi
深宫is very deep, u need time to get use to it , dont keep think of penetrating your hole
