HISTORY

January 21, 2015

Mister United Continents prides itself as the first-ever wholly Filipino-owned worldwide male pageant. It was founded by David Hornilla Natanawan, along with his colleagues in the Philippine beauty pageant arena.

The inaugural edition of Mister United Continents was held at the Tanghalang Pasigueño in Pasig City, located along the eastern border of Metro Manila. Kamel Chawky Raad, a 28-year-old professional runway model from Lebanon, etched his name in international male pageant history as the first-ever Mister United Continents winner. He bested 16 candidates, including first to fifth runners-up Bobbi Teguh of Indonesia, Canada’s Kristian Diaz, Antonio Chimbanda of Angola, Vietnam’s Nguyen Quang Huan and Dheeraj Sharma of India.

Mister United Continents’ second salvo had Mohit Singh of India as the ultimate victor. The 25-year-old electrical engineer and part-time runway model from New Delhi defeated 17 other hopefuls. Nguyen Hoang Tuan of Vietnam, meanwhile, was named Master United Continents. The Master category is a subsidiary male beauty pageant of Mister United Continents Inc. for contestants between 31 and 42 years old. Completing their court were first to fifth runners-up Mark Redfearn of the United Kingdom, Vietnam’s Nguyen Hoang Tuan, Thu Ra Nyi Nyi of Myanmar, Thailand’s Peter Jovic, and Kian Ching of Borneo. It was staged at the Tanghalang Pasigueño in Pasig City again.
