Dear all, Below is an official reply from Cruise Club regarding this incident. A. WHAT HAPPENED 1. At around 8.10pm this evening, several officers approached our reception in what we believe to be part of their routine checks on establishments around the area. 2. As standard Cruise Club protocol to protect the privacy of our members, our staff switched on the white lights and also turned off the club's piped in music. 3. Our Club Manager on duty spoke to the officers and they left Cruise within 10 minutes after some standard queries. No other action was taken, and no members were affected in this routine check. 4. The Club resumed normal operations thereafter shortly, as we checked in more members to Cruise thereafter. B. CRUISE'S ASSURANCES 1. Cruise values the privacy of all our members. 2. While such checks rarely happen, we have standard policies in place as per all other saunas to ensure that any inconvenience to our customers is reduced to its lowest level. 3. Which is also why the Club's lights were on and the music turned off as part of our standard procedure. The procedures will be similar also in other emergency situations like a fire hazard. 4. We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our members and will issue all members affected by this incident 1 complimentary Anyday, Anytime Pass for the short disruption in their enjoyment of the Club. All members can claim this privilege before 31 Mar 2017 from the counter on their next visit. We thank all our members for their continued support and would like to assure all that we will do our best to ensure that all our members feel at home in a safe and secure environment. Dear all, The below is an official reply from Cruise Club regarding this incident. A. WHAT HAPPENED 1. At around 11.30pm on 7 Mar (Sat), several officers approached Cruise Club in what we believe to be part of their routine checks for general compliance (of licenses, fire safety, overcrowding etc) around the area. 2. As standard Cruise Club protocol to protect the interests of our members, our staff switched on the overhead white lights and also turned off the club's piped in music. We were not instructed at any point by the officer to have our lights on. 3. The officers (including those from NEA - National Environment Agency) requested to enter the club so they could inspect the premises. Our Club Manager on duty spoke to the officers and they left after inspecting the premises in about 30 minutes. 4. We were also recommended by the officer from NEA to limit our smoking point to only level 1 as the additional smoking point in level 3 is near to our cafe. 5. No other action was taken, and no members were affected in this routine check. 6. The Club resumed normal operations thereafter shortly, as we checked in more members and processed re-entries to Cruise for Skin Saturday. B. CRUISE'S ASSURANCES 1. Cruise values the privacy and safety of all our members. 2. While such checks rarely happen, Cruise has standard policies in place (as per all other saunas) to ensure that any inconvenience to our customers are reduced to its lowest level. 3. That is also the reason why the Club's lights were on and the music turned off as part of our standard procedure. The procedures will be similar also in emergency situations like a fire hazard. 4. We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our members and will issue all members affected by this incident a complimentary all-day 1 Day Pass for the short disruption in their enjoyment of the Club. All members affected today will be notified via e-mail/SMS on the redemption of the free pass. Hi everyone! We're indeed delighted that many of you have expressed interest in our popular event CruiseLight on selected Fridays of the month. Regarding the color codes - the trick is that if one is a pure bottom/top you just have to "avoid" the colour that is the same as the one that you have. The reason why we have designed the codes to be based on who you're looking for, rather than indicating your role is due to the fact that most of our shy "pure bottom" customers would rather opt to indicate themselves as "flex" rather than choose a colour that indicates their role as "bottom". This is especially so in our observation of certain profile sites/phone apps where the role of "bottom" is a rarity, as most would rather indicate as "flex". Therefore, putting on the code to indicate who you are looking for solves this awkwardness (for eg. looking for top [bLUE] does not necessarily mean one is bottom), besides - it's more direct in indicating what one is looking for. Most of our regular Cruise Light go-ers have already gotten used to the codes - and we have placed the codes in many spots within our dark maze to facilitate your cruising pleasure. Besides, if you are doubtful of what your fellow cute "Cruise-Lighter" is indicating, it's time to strike up a conversation and ask him what his code means! Who knows, you may make a new friend! Do keep those suggestions and feedback coming, as we strive further to be your favourite club! Our Club Manager on duty spoke to the officer and the officer in question left Cruise within 5 minutes after some standard questioning. No other action was taken, and no members were affected in this routine check. 4. The Club resumed normal operations thereafter shortly, as we checked in more members to Cruise for our Cadets night. Just a few clarifications on your posting: LOCKERS Cruise club has close to 300 lockers (possibly the most in Singapore) of various sizes: small, medium (majority), large. You might have gotten a small locker as our lockers were all full during our open house last night. JACUZZI Our deluxe lighted jacuzzi is configured to take up to 7 persons, although we have seen more in the mega tub SECOND FLOOR DARK MAZE All rooms in CRUISE are raised up on raised platforms (proper beds). We do not have any rooms with mattresses on the floor. We also thank you for your suggestions - in particular on the processing time of the customers as we were dealing with a full house crowd and being a new club, the processing of members do take a little bit of time as we need to key in the details of members. For FREE ENTRY, it is applicable to all members, regardless of existing or new. New members only need to pay a $10 membership, while existing members enter totally FREE, from 16Dec (Fri) to 18 Dec (Sun) during our open house.
