Joo Siah BKT at the hawker centre opp Chinese Garden station has nice Teochew BKT (peppery kind). The 卤肉 (braised meat) is not bad.

The 3-in-1 looks great! I'll keep this in mind and go try it hopefully soon, when there's no risk of ceilings breaking over my head lol.

Can I just say, this cake looks AMAZING.

imo, 梁记 Leong Kee (Klang) BKT at the junction of Beach Rd and Sultan Gate. Dark herbal kind of BKT - quite potent herbal taste. braised pork leg is also great. The dish that seals the deal for me is the har cheong gai (prawn paste chicken). crispy, juicy and very fragrant.

i don't like Chye Seng Huat. It has a nice concept - hardware store and all, but it's so crowded and noisy. Cakes were so-so. Not sure about coffee cos I don't drink it. There's The Bravery nearby at Horne Road. Anyone tried that? im looking to try out Necessary Provisions. People have been warning me about how ulu though haha. I don't mind walking in.

Lately there has been much bad press about our local education and educators, but i've got to say that I have been blessed with great teachers here and there. They really put in 110% to guide and mentor us. I still keep in contact with some of them. True that you never forget a good teacher.
