hi guys i will travelling to shenzhen & guangzhou in late oct i need some pointers as i m travelling on budget, any recommended hotels/ lodging? - how safe is it to stay overnight at bath house? it will definitely save me a lot =) transport wise any tips? or things to take care of any must visit place/ must eat food / must try activity? massage/sauna/ clubbing/ pubbing? thanks

i suggest u take the weekend classes, the ppl from the weekday classes abit ATAS.... as most are sponsored by companies (some of them are 'forced" and thus unfriendly... the ones on weekends are those who are learning with pure interest...

there is a mini test at the start of each lesson (starting from the second lesson)

ok lah.. 1 term is $280.. so not too bad... go and experience it 1st lor... it was very intensive for me.. i nearly go mad after the 4th lesson.. and 1 advise... MUST do yer homework and practise a lot (with a buddy) - a lot of ppl give up half way due to the intensive training.... 3 hrs a day is VERY siong and draining... =P (they focus a lot on reading and writing, not forgetting conversation - 1 hr each) If u r comfortable with the pace, good for you... coz those who can handle it.. will do well... =) my batch, thre is only 1 girl who survived.. now she already completed JLPT1... for me i only done my JLPT2.... (Bunka focus more on reading and conversation, not much writing.. so most of our writing sucks) those from JCSS, they have super slow pace).. but my friends who studied there progress very slowly... only juz completed JLPT3.... (they focus on conversation more then reading and writing - so most of them are very fluent in speaking)

sgboy82 > u paid already? i was from ikoma too.. but quit coz they teach too qucikly n their pace is too fast... i dun like them... now at bunka.. its much better
