It’s so brightly lit now (compared to years ago when I last came by which still held pockets of conveniently useful umbra here and there for certain purposes 😜), one can almost see the tiny follicles on another person’s face from just a step or two away. Haven’t been here in an age and much has changed—for better and for worse. The upside? The track is decently and handsomely tarmac’ed and it’s a breeze to walk on now. Wawawa is back with a more spacious layout and higher ceiling. Not sure if it’s me or not, but do I get the feeling there are more trees planted here now than years ago? If yes, lovely. And Passion Wave looks quite neat, structure and design wise. The downside? Passion Wave, also brightly lit and populous with youngsters and students camping on lower ground concrete platform fronting the water, presides over and negates the once cruisy environs and buzz. Hardly a wandering gay/ bi/ curious male lurking body at the half moon concrete benches anymore. 🥲 The toilets are renovated to downsizing and prevent cruising, that’s for certain. I don’t see any CCTV outside though, but that’s cold comfort. 😒 There is hardly anyone about now at this once action-worthy assembly point. 😕 It is what it is.
