Nothing much will change I think.
Pretty used to staying in a lot now even after phase 2 reopened. Probably should thank CB 1.0 for making me cut off lots of unnecessary social activities and "friends"!

Numbers where got go up? Community cases still quite low. Confirmed there would not be another CB, worst case only might go back to phase 1, that's all.

You see today 5 cases in the community only. Since phase 1 until today, community cases is maintain less than 20. Average around 10 or below.

Lawrence Wong already tio condemn until terok terok, and even got his portfolio switched, because he went to do CB and affect the economy so badly.

 

Look at how consistent those reported cases are sometimes. It almost seems like the numbers are manipulated one way or another, maybe by testing those dormitories with low infection rates when the need arise, and testing those dorms with higher infection rates when the higher numbers can be reported. You think he cannot report the numbers or assign testing done at his comfortable levels now? 

 

He will try not to go for another CB as much as possible, because he still need to please his One Big Boss in the hope of a bigger promotion before his One Big Boss leaves. And he won't be able to please his One Big Boss by shutting the economy again.

481 refers to dormitories, not really counted that covid is spreading in community.  Even govt also no worry, why you all so scare?

Nothing really. Ever since phase 2, the only extra things are haircut and swimming. 
 

actually the piss and quiet during the lockdown was quite nice. Hope ur sauce was rite.

Still got massage, gym and now attractions and hotel staycation.

 

There need to be a balance between containing the virus and restart economic activities but their focus seems to be on containing the virus. The real economy impact probably will only be seen by end of the year. More restaraunts, clubs and pubs will close shop and so are those operating hostels accommodation and related travel services.

it will be quite difficult to confirm where the person could have been infected,  all countries will try to push to others as much as possible. But we should be more concern why so many work pass holders coming in keep detected of the virus.  Are they existing residents or new hire from oversea? I tot company suppose to stop hiring foreigner and consider sporean first priority for a job.

SINGAPORE — The Ministry of Health (MOH) preliminarily reported 359 new COVID-19 cases in Singapore as of Tuesday (28 July) noon, taking the country’s total to 51,197.

Of the new cases, one is classified as a case in the community, while two are imported cases. The remaining are foreign workers living in dorms.

 

“Based on our investigations so far, there is one case in the community, who is a work pass holder,” said the MOH.

 

“In addition, there are two imported cases, both of whom had been placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arrival in Singapore.”

 

More details will be provided later at night, added the ministry.

 

Authorities here except to clear all dorms and workers residing in them by 7 August, with the exception of 17 standalone blocks in eight purpose-built dorms, which serve as quarantine facilities as well as 28,000 workers still serving out their isolation period.

 

As of 20 July, about 247,000 such workers living in dorms have either recovered, or have been tested to be free from the virus.

Infected workers comprise over 47,983 – some 94.4 per cent – of Singapore’s total COVID-19 tally.

Over 45,500 recovered, zero in ICU

With 171 more patients discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities on Monday, 45,692 cases  – some 89.8 per cent of the tally – have fully recovered from the infection.

 

Most of the hospitalised cases are stable or improving, while none are in critical condition in the intensive care unit.

 

A total of 4,940 patients with mild symptoms or are clinically well but still test positive are isolated and cared for at community facilities.

 

Apart from 27 patients who have died from COVID-19 complications, 15 others who tested positive for the virus were determined to have died from unrelated causes, including three whose deaths were attributed to a heart attack and another four, whose deaths were attributed to coronary heart disease.

 

“Only cases where the attending doctor or pathologist attributes the primary or underlying cause of death as due to COVID-19 infection will be added to the COVID-19 death count,” said the MOH in previous press releases, adding that the method of assessment is consistent with international practices for classifying deaths.

 

As of 20 July, the ministry has conducted 1,170,049 swab tests, of which 571,496 were done on unique individuals.

 

This translates to around 205,300 swabs conducted per 1 million total population, and about 100,300 unique individuals swabbed per 1 million total population.

anyway, i am also used to staying indoors already. i worked with HPB as a frontliner.. so most of them after my swabbing duties.. i am at home most of the time.

Most of the imported cases are from India and Phillipines but I think soon we will get some from China.....

 

Asia seems to be hit by the second wave,  Taiwan,  Vietnam, HKG,  Japan and China have been reporting new cases,  so ya, while we still can enjoy outdoor dining and social meetings, don't be too surprise if there is a CB 2.0.

Stay home better since now go out must wear a mask, i find it quite frustrating and no mood to walk around outside. Rather stay at home.

Since 2 Jun until today, going to be 2 months after CB, quite surprisingly that there is no sign of 2nd wave happening in singapore. Is sg consider safe from 2nd wave?

I think hong kong is referring it as a thirdd wave

We are in the first wave The reason why we are not in the second wave is because we manipulated the numbers, not by under-declaring them, but by manipulating who we are testing and which dormitories we test and which we don't test.
