I guess everyone has their reasons. For me, I came from a humble background so i guess i'd better stay where i am instead of losing myself.

Yes but I can assure you not all youth are like that. You're getting that impression from social media because.... that's exactly where you will find those people.  The "real" ones are offline actually doing things with their life/changing the world. You certainly won't find the next Bill Gates posting a selfie with bubble tea on instagram this afternoon. Lol.

Well, prostituting really comes down to an individual choice. Sure, we have heard of sob stories etc. but there are also those who happily do it simply because they can.

 

I think younger gay men flock to older gay men for various reasons. Some for the social connections, others simply want to be part of the high life.

I think people seriously give others too much credit. Sure, I also have an attraction for older guys, but I don't believe in putting anyone on a pedestal just for being hot/older/having a gay fan base. I'd much rather spend time, energy, and effort on friendships/relationships that don't depend on social status, but on mutual respect. 

 

Guess that could also be the reason why I, personally, have very little gay friends? But that's just me.

 

I think at the end of the day... one makes their own life choices, and one has to live with that. If you concern yourself too much about what others are doing with their lives, you'll end up being miserable, and missing out on your own life.

Not sure why people in this thread will automatically assume there is prostitution involved when younger gays hang with older gays. My take is if there is prostitution involved, they definitely will not be so open about it and IG story themselves hanging out all the time.

 

Successful older gays with status (wealth, influence etc) are probably charismatic and sociable. It may not be apparent if you don't know them personally but chances are, they know how to network well and thus, will naturally attract friends of all sorts. Since gays are superficial by nature, not surprising that these older gays will end up having a lot of young good looking gay friends. Maybe they slept with some of them. Maybe they didn't. But very sure there is no prostitution involved.

Some Mediacorp tv actor hairdresser and finger nail cutter or hair dryer holder?

Some billionaire rich sun gay socialite?

 

On a second note:

Why are many young chaps looking up to some Online "influencers" who actually do nothing more than product placement with silly comedial youtube vids, artifical instagram images or in the worst case some long routed loud talking on some platforms and then publish a recording of it. you "likes" and "following" clicks make them look important and give them some doubtful glamour and fame, nothing else.

Do you seriously waste your time in watching all these things?

There could be many reasons why young good looking gays hang out with successful older gays.  But I can only see one reason why the successful older gays choose to hang out with the good looking ones.

As explained earlier, successful people in general will have a much wider social circle. So even when you see all these successful older gays hang with young guys, its not like they don't have old friends right? It might seem like they hang out predominantly with younger gays because:

- People will pay more attention when younger hot gays are in the picture

- Their older gay friends won't feel the need as much to update social media about what they are doing. So there won't be any IG stories of them hanging out with other gays of their age group.

 

So lets not be salty and project your own saltiness on them.

We all got our own opinions on this. Everyone is right. Nothing wrong.

I guess we all have seen many of sort of such things on Instagram. Ya sometimes don't care but i think it is really ruining the morals of our young and causing them sink deeper into the temptations, glam and glamour. And come on, they are so fucking young. One expensive lunch or dinner in exchange for a fun or discounts, I'm sure many young ones got that experience before.

This is literally just speculation from salty gays on this thread who are jealous they don't have any young hot gay friends, and so they convince themselves the older successful gays must be getting these friendships through gifts, holidays, expensive dinners,  job opportunities and promotions, sales transactions etc when there is literally zero proof of any of such happenings.

 

I would also like to point out that a lot of these 'young hot IG gays' are much older than they look. Many are in their late twenties, and would have been working for a few years already to be able to afford their own meals and holidays. Most of them would be IG influencers too, and would already have no trouble getting free meals and staycations simply because of their following.

Using young hot gays to attract people attention in social media is just a tool to be successful, and as good an excuse to hang out with them.  When you are successful in life, you can easily get what you want.  Nothing saltiness about it.
