Some of my colleagues got temporary 'deployed' to do visitor screening, 'crowd control' ... so classified as essential. They tell you if you not happy or report MOM, u will lose your job. WFH gives me more time to do many things at the same time. I can do my work, cook my meals, tidy up my house, clean up my house often and go to supermarket to buy stuff etc, all can do within my WFH hours. If like last time go office to work, whether i have work to do or not much work to do, i still need to sit at the office and cannot do other things. Waste lots of time. And maybe they would gradually allow people go back to office first, like 50%. Should not suddenly revert back to everyone can go back office. This one I must agree … I find that I become more productive … can plan and do many things at the same time (while keeping a “look out” for incoming mails). Have a brand new pair of leather shoes sitting inside my shoe cabinet untouched. Earlier this year I took on a new job in a big prominent company and the dress code is smart casual. I get to dress down in polo tee and jeans from mon to fri. But after awhile its back to WFH. During the virtual interview, I only put on a shirt and tie but freeball in my home shorts. Esp for singles who stay alone, no problem WFH since no one at home. Too bad such office work model would not become a norm here, when govt announced WFH no more default, all bosses will revert back to good old days office work model.
