doncoin Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 OK. Season 3 is weird and going off tracks with the sub-plot about ghosts and possession. GKS 1 Quote Love.
GKS Posted March 20, 2022 Author Posted March 20, 2022 agreed. Ep 7 too shock to see that. This is part of the culture. Quote
doncoin Posted March 27, 2022 Posted March 27, 2022 Given how the sub-plot has diverted into the spiritual realm, i am thinking that Season 3 will end with a major exorcism. GKS 1 Quote Love.
doncoin Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 In watching the series, I realised that the Korean society is very chauvinistic. I know I am probably generalising it based on this to series, but the double standards between men and women are so apparent. It is ok for the ex-husbands to have affairs, but when it comes to their ex-wives getting remarried, they throw tantrums, and suddenly decided to be good fathers. There is something inherently wrong with the train of thought. The men used stupid excuses for their behaviour and to rationalise their reasons for cheating. Anyway, the only somewhat non-traditional male is the guy playing the younger brother marrying Ji-a’s mom. I cannot recall the characters name given that their faces and appearances have changed so drastically. I just wish they stopped with the possession sub-plot. It is too much way out there.
