Guest Wtf Posted June 13, 2022 Posted June 13, 2022 Recenlty I've been experiencing oain in my lower back. If i'm moving it is fine. If i sit and lie down for a lomg time, i can feel the pain. Sometimes like a sharp pain whever I move from side to side. Anyone also experience that? Quote
robin Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Sounds like a slipped disc condition. Go see an orthopedic to confirm it. But if the orthopedic suggests to have a surgery, please seek treatment with a physiotherapist or a chiropractor first. Surgery should be the last option Quote
PapaEli Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 I would advise getting referral from polyclinic to get an MRI. But if you say you have back pain, a word of warning, they might do a anal probe with a finger to test if you can grip their finger with your muscles to ensure that you haven't lost control of your bowels. shenalone Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 I’m having some lower back issue as well, went to an ortho, they ortho say a bit bulge on the slip disc and nothing else and asked me to do stretching but I still feel the pain. also went to some pain relief, TCM and all to no avail. I kinda give up. also the pain from my back, upper thigh area, and knee all on the right side. Quote

I have the same condition & I have a set of exercises which my physiotherapist taught me; supposed to do it daily but as I am lazy, I will do it mostly when the condition surfaces. For the past years, the pain did not bother me since Quote

What I did was, I arranged a date with my orthopedic & admitted myself to hospital saying I hurt my back. With the insurance, the specialist referred me to the physio center & I was covered for treatment in the next 3 months (subject to your insurance policy). I went to this center called DBCI. They are not cheap (mostly paid by insurance anyway) but their team is extremely committed & professional. shenalone 1 Quote

It’s been years, but recently my back pain like getting worst. sometime I walk, I will start to limp as the pain gets worst. Should I go and see polyclinic then refer to specialist? I also don’t know what is wrong with me, or is it my core strength is not there to support Quote

gerigo Posted February 6, 2025 Posted February 6, 2025 Most times lower back pain can be medical in nature like a slip disc so it’s hard to know what is the right diagnosis. For me, back pain is the result of weak muscles in other areas of the body and your back muscle compensating. It was diagnosed for me by a very good massage therapist who said my back pain was from tight fascia in the thighs and a weak core. Practice of yoga over a long period helped tremendously. shenalone 1 Quote

Went to a TCM, she say that I don’t have core strength and then sold me a compression belt thing wear on my lower back. Seems like there is improvement but need more time to find out. Think of trying yoga at those CC Quote

I too have a low back "slipped" disc issue and impinged nerve, ... upon my first appointment with Ming, the pain and discomfort levels were almost down by half... and I stopped all painkillers. Follow up session was a stacked improvement. To date, I'm really glad to have sought Ming's skills, and no longer think too much of my back, until I do something silly like lifting anything too heavy. Solid recommendation 👍 Cheers 🥂 Mike fourth 1 Quote
