Zoe Tay, Chew Chor Meng, Christopher Lee, Chen Hanwei, Ivy Lee, Jacelyn Tay, Ann Kok, Felicia Chin, Qi Yuwu.

 

And to some extent: Aileen Tan, Phyllis Quek, Yvonne Lim.

 

Romeo and Desmond Tan are probably the only recent Star Search alumni that managed to succeed.

I couldn’t believe this Sun Li joined Star search before. She is really famous in China, she practically endorsed all electrical products which can be found in China shopping centers, not to mention many of the major China dramas. Happy for her that Singapore did not bond her down...

So 1997 got Yvonne Lim and Evelyn Tan, then not so bad after all. 2001 is really the worst then (minus Sun Li).

no need to find faults at all - is their pool of lack of inspiration scriptwriter, casting staff and directors faults - lack of improvement still living in the 80 - if they blame then is their CEO incomptent since so many changes of of name from sbc to mediacock - to the worst ! Nobody watch the mediacock programme....no ads profit for sure.

 

Since they love to do retrenchment regulary by freeze the senior staff pay, employ cheap greeny staff and kick out those capable staff which may outshine them. 

 

Why dun kick out those C suite who cannot work but collect $ only !

 

Anyway due to covid 19 - take as opportunity to do a proper area cleaning instead.

 

Look at HongKong TVB - they kill themselve by re shuffle C suite and fighting among themselves - all the best staff go to China....now tvb all doom...ready to shut down if might be - but sure sell to other for cheap cheap handover price.

 

If our actor/actress - unfortunatley mostly malaysian will fly over without hesistation - see lawxxxx wong the classic example.

 

I know who won't dare to go - Elvin - judge his taiwan colaboration with other actors. They outshine him without script while he non stop blahing his mandarin - make eye sore to watch. I refer to the recent series - i watch the taiwan version - our sg version dun know how to edit into rubbish to our local viewer. That dept doing editing better go to courses to re sturdy. Wash so much time,money and effort - to showcast our local talent but make a big joke out of it. My taiwan friend ask me - why your two actor can act blur and stupid look - are they in real life ???????Romeo elvin plus that rebecca bff - after so many years, no improvemetn at all. Our star award collect also useless trophy. Mind as well go and buy from the trophy shop.
