How come got "403 forbidden"

Just able to log-in to this website today! Cannot access for the past whole week, kept getting Forbidden 403 massage!

Anyone knows how to go about it? Thanks!

Your ip kena blocked lo. 

Reset your router to get a new ip. 

They blacklist some ip troll users I believe.

No wonder... I got hit with this until I installed Chrome. I think they blacklisted me because I haven't made any interactions here aside from looking through the forum. Hopefully I won't get it again since I'm trying to get myself comfortable here!

I have have been getting this error for months.   I have no problem accessing bw website when I am doing it via my home wifi but I will encounter this 403 Forbidden error once my wifi is off or when I am outside , all along using the same device, which is my mobile phone.  I tried clearing the memory and switch off/on my phone but the problem still exists.  It is very sad that I cant access bw website when I am not home. 

 

I do hope our moderator team can help on this.

I don’t think BW will blacklist anyone for not interacting. I have been getting this error for months.

I think moderator has blocked your particular IP address as it was previously used by someone they don't like. But since IPs can be reassigned, it affects others in the long run. Message the mods with your IP

@radiusulnar @Eded90838 I just tried this & it seems to work: 1) clear the cache 2) clear history & website data (in Safari) 3) off & on the phone.

I assume you log in via a VPS or VPN?

 

Unless you are using a weird network in Singapore, ...

 

Try to clear your cache, then restart your phone.

It might help.

I am not familiar with Giga, I am using iphone with Safari, so only tested on that. But frankly, the solution only works intermittently for me.  This afternoon it works, most days it doesn't.

haven't experienced this problem after restarting phone. so maybe that's what fixed the problem

I found the answer  to my problem. I am using  iPhone Safari. There is a setting which says Hide IP Address & it was turned on. That’s the reason why I don’t have this problem when accessing bw from my home wifi but will encounter 403 error when not.

 

I turned off that setting, clear my cache & off/on my phone.

if you have access to Hide IP Address (Trackers and websites) turn it ON..

The mods like to block users by their ip address, but did not realise this will affect many other innocent users.

I did have this problem too around about the time TS started this thread. 

I just shutdown and restarted and it seemed to fix the problem.

Just a quick update, I'm using my data to access and it works. Not sure what happened as I did not do anything, hopefully it stays as it is now.

I can’t access the site thru my desktop safari. Same error. But devices are ok. Anyone know a fix?

the website is good when on wifi. always down when on mobile data. could not login on mobile data too.

If using iPhone 

 

Solution: Settings => Safari => Hide IP Address, set it to ‘Off’. => Clear History & Website Data => Select ‘Clear History & Data’, select ‘Close Tab’.

 

On airplane mode or off your phone for at least 10 seconds, use as per normal

Just sharing my experience. When I try to access the site using my mobile data, this error appeared. When I get connected to Wireless@SG, the problem mysteriously disappeared.

 

Could be a block at the telco’s end.

i have sent mesage thru contactus but no reply.

 

look like bw is blocking simba mobile network.
