Yeah it’s becoming a problem, these phones everywhere- was at first just a concern at the changing room with guys just sitting on the bench for long stretches with their phones 📱 pointing forward but now I see them on all floors except the third and fourth maze floors- hope the management can do something about it. Personally the red light and pool is not a big deal, there other reasons to visit 😉

I haven't been to others so can't compare. Level 1 unless smoking corner or locker room, usually shouldn't have any phones.

Level 2 and 5 are more for recreational, such as texting, sending emails, playing games so Idt fun happen there often and that you can skip it.

 

The fun happens in the sauna, the pool and more imptly lvl 3 and 4. Both of which I've never seen anyone w a phone there before. I've seen more chemical canisters than phone tbvh.

 

So yea still not safe hands, but the risk is what going to saunas are for isn't it? J assert you don't want to be filmed if u spot someone holding a phone would be fine

I definitely encountered one idiot took a photo secretly in smoking room . When i confronted him , he showed his phone screen were in whatsapp , but when I asked him to show me all the recent apps , he defended himself by saying who are u for me to show , and quickly ran away. Its obviously he was guilty. The logic of photos is the one who took the photo and post on social media gets anonymous fame but the person in the picture might lose his carreer because of that picture posted. So please as human , be considerate.

💯 agree on the two previous post on privilege perspectives, as a Chinese person, we are blind to the prejudice that we can’t see because we’re the majority in Singapore, you can understand that difference when you find yourself in a foreign country especially in the west, it’s definitely real and not a good feeling.

 

-and having too many 📸 cameras around.  Lots of the time you can see them pointing it straight at you , tmc should really look into that, our lives can be destroyed with just a single pic leak considering what we could be photographed doing on the rooftop. 

 

ALL kinds of people go there some of them really can’t behave in a responsible or considerate way. I saw was a guy rinsing his mouth with provided mouthwash and then dropping his used wet cup back into the box. I asked him why he did that and he said “ oh I didn’t see where I dropped the cup”  or this other guy who just cuts in when I’m using the smith machine at the gym without asking. There are really some thoughtless people need extra rules to ensure that we’re all in a safe place at TMC. Hope the management see this. 

 Now a days people their brain not with them they left it somewhere else. It also happened to me the guy just wants to use the machine I tell him we can share but don't change the weight and if you fine with the weight I set you may use. What makes me want to laugh he try to lift the weight I set and seem struggling and few lifts he left the gym area,

Any updates on Full Moon Night? How's the crowd?

One interesting thing about Full Moon at TMC is they fog up the place and have additional atmosphere lighting with lasers and stars at the stairway and even in the shower area. I can appreciate the additional effort to make the night slightly different. There was a good turn out but as always the crowd dissipates by 9pm or so. Everyone finishes their business fast and go home. I know that they do not open round the clock but even when they do on weekends - people just don't stay till late.

 

Another good thing is - there is a staff present at the locker area to usher patrons to their lockers, and sanitise the lockers after each one is vacated. They also go round the floors occasionally with an air refresher. You won't see this at the rival sauna. 

 

One thing I wish they would do thou - is clean the algae covered wall in the shower area. They ought to get one of those high pressure water cleaner to spray the wall!

Weekdays are ok but can be busy on weekends - there’s only 1 smith machine so have to wait your turn. No min or max clothing rule. Everything is ok 👌 yes there are guys who will come by when you’re working out and will approach if you give them the go ahead. Sometimes it’s annoying, especially when once I was doing a bench press and at that moment some guy came out of nowhere and started to touch my leg🤬 that’s so crazy and dangerous -I really could have hurt myself with the weights 🤯he really had no common sense, most people are great but there are a few nuts out there

Lucky he never crawl up on you when u are doing your bench press or else the bar might just slipped and land on him. I believe he might watched too much porn? There always show that people are prepared to be touch as and when they are training and see their appreciated face while being touch .. but ya no matter wat must keep a clear mind as safety come first.
