Seeking recommendations for a BKK hotel with gym and sauna. Based on posts in different threads, the shortlist is: The Quarter Silom - hotel-only gym. New, moderate price, good location JW - hotel gym is also a fitness club non-guests can sign up to. 5 stars, bigger gym, crowds I’m thinking Quarter or do a day pass to JW. Any thoughts or other options? Quote
And then Posted February 5, 2025 Posted February 5, 2025 I've stayed at Quarter Silom. Good location, rooms are rather average though. Potentially fun gym and sauna area. But a staff member is seated at the entrance (to the locker room) so I was a bit shy to go in and out or loiter around. Next trip I will be staying at Ibis styles Silom instead. Quote

I hear JW Marriott and Marriot Marquis also cruisy. Grand hyatt definitely cruisy as its also a members gym. Quote

Branson69 Posted April 23, 2025 Posted April 23, 2025 Stayed at Park Hyatt BKK last month for work. Normally I stay ant the Grand Hyatt. Only had the chance to go to the hotel spa twice. Very nice spa - Large jacuzzi. Good size steam room. No sauna. Both times I walked in on guys playing. One time I joined. The other time one guy left. The other guy stayed. Very discreet place. You could clearly see if someone was entering (even though they did not). Not crowded but definitely a cruisey spa. Anyone else been? Quote

tin_sg Posted July 20 Posted July 20 have not tried the meridian, but Grand Hyatt sauna can be quite cruisy as its a member's gym hence u get both local and guests going to the wet areas. The other hotel that i have experienced is intercontinental chitlom which also is a members gym. JW i have not but i hear its quite cruisy too. Quote

tin_sg Posted July 29 Posted July 29 there are 2 kempinski hotels in BKK, not sure if Siam Kempinski is cruisy but i stayed at the sindhorn kempinski - rooms are very nice BUT no free access to sauna or steam. guest needs to pay per entry hence i never went. Quote

tin_sg Posted August 2 Posted August 2 I'm staying at the kimpton maa Lai. The steam n sauna rooms are small. Was there yesterday afternoon n there were people in there. Looked quite cruisy. Hotel is full. Mixed crowd. Quote

tin_sg Posted September 3 Posted September 3 no reports for crowne plaza silom, stayed there many years ago, quite an old hotel unless they have renovated. let us know how it goes. JW and W hotel have some reports of being cruisy in their sauna and spa area. I guess its all about luck and timing . i feel the cruisier ones are Grand Hyatt and Intercon Chitlom. Park Hyatt depends on timing. Quote
