Sued for sexual assault after 9 years

Recommended Posts

The woman dated a man, have regular physical intimacy in the car or wherever they deemed fit, refused to acknowledge their relationship, broke up with him in case their colleagues found out,  then invited him to her home for sex again, then asked him to leave before sex begins, after "assaulted" she texted the man to apologise for her behaviour.  When you thought all is done and settled, peace resumed for many years thereafter, she bought into "me too" movement and decided to use her woman's rights to sue the man for violating her.....arrrrrgh!!!!      Anyone with a sound mind will believe the woman is not the victim,  the man is the one being emotionally used and assaulted.  It is not fair for the judge to punish the man and awarded her substantial financial damage. which she wanted even more for the lost of income during her unemployment.  Her motive could not be more obvious.     I am tearing my hair reading the story.  I am lucky to be gay.

Tell all men to just find another men to have sex. If they just want sex. No pity for anti gay homophobic that got caught in these divorce and SA cases these days. Be gay be safe.

It's outdated to say that a gay man is a woman's best friend.  Given all of these occurrences involving straight males,  Gay is now every man's best friend.

On a note: Please be aware that the case is for civil damages and not a criminal case. Not sure whether the prosecution will take up the case again, after the civil case for damages.

The guy should consider going into appeal.

If you read the message exchange at the full judgment  not sure I would call the girl consistent.  The guy even talks that they should have done "more", which means nothing really happened.

Just shows again that girls seem to be on the upper hand, and the guys just mostly in a very bad position when it comes to sexual abuse cases...

Singapore on such cases seems always to lean more on the side of the girls and trusting their account.

How was there sufficient evidence that he touched her indiscriminately. Only because the girl told something (not actually what supposedly happened) to her other girl friends.

Probably, the advice from the defendant's lawyers for him to keep silent or pretend to not recall what happened was not a good way. Whereas I assume the position was taken to avoid any criminal prosecution.

Worst is what transpired afterwards that the girl was still chasing him and even wanting to try a serious relationship with him. That should have rang all alarm bells on the judge.  What serious girl would want to be in a relationship with a halfway "rapist"?

Quote: "The Defendant also alluded to an instance in September 2016 where the Claimant had invited him to spend the night at her place and greeted him dressed only in her undergarments." The Defendant also pointed to the fact that the Claimant had voluntarily invited the Defendant to shop with her on 4 August 2016, to meet with her at Somerset on 7 August 2016, and to give her a wake-up call on 11 August 2016. On 12 August 2016, she also invited him to her house for drinks on the night of 13 August 2016 and had initiated a conversation with the Defendant on 16 August 2016 at 2:26 a.m."

=> This was two months after the incident on 10 July 2016.

Would any girl having been felt sexually assaulted by a finger penetration to her vagina behave in such a conduct?

It seems that her case stems from revenge by the girl that the guy later rejected her new advances, when she was finally "ready" to get into a real relationship with him (or just playing with him).

The judge should have just dismissed the case.

To me it seems not very persuasive that a girl keeps on contacting, outing, dating a sexual assaulter afterwards.

Can only hope the guy files for appeal.

all straight men better stay away from this woman for their own good. She has been unmasked.

lucky all gays want sex so this won’t happen to us 😆😆😆

I wouldn't exclude that something like this cannot happen between two gays...

There are plenty of serious drama queens in the gay community...

and some who think after first fun you are already in a relationship...

Now with 377A abolished, such alleged sexual assault cases between guys might also get into the news sooner or later.

The woman is mentally unstable. She consented to sexual and non sexual contacts, constantly.

Some of our laws are truly colonial era. It is true, that men form larger portion of offenders. But sme womens rights gone too far. There needs to be a balance.

This type of thing has been around forever. it's usually molest or pedophilia.

Jail for 2 men who engaged in sex acts with 15-year-old boys | The Straits Times

just an example.

I actually meant emotional imbalance by a gay adult  and one adult gay making a police report on sexual abuse against another adult gay in similar circumstances as the case of the girl above.

Not been talking about pedophilia or sexual acts with minors.

On the judicial system I would reply: Maybe in other countries the threshold is higher to prove certain things.

I assume in most courts in Europe it had never come to such a judgment, if evidence had not been clearer against him.

I find it difficult here when judges assume things, such as the guy's one message

The judge took it as a confession that he sexually assaulted her.

But that is pure assumption.

The judge also disrespected the point of who having to evidence something.

The judge took his silence negatively, blaming him for not coming up with his part of the events.

But he was the defendant, it was not his duty to evidence any sexual assault, but the claimant's duty!

But the same could have happened in the US for example.

Not so much in Western Europe.

I found the judgment on that Swiss guy with that under- aged prostitute already harsh, because the girl actually showed him the ID (but it was the ID of her sister who was 19.)

But the judge said: "Doesn't matter, it is your duty to check the age."

The woman initially lost control when she invited the man to her house specifically for sex, which set off a series of events.  She then expressed her regret for her error to the man.  I'm still baffled by the judge's decision.
