Hi, could anyone offer some tips on budget accomodations and places of interest for Chendu, China? Will be there for 9 days holiday in mid May. Besides Jiuzaigou and 海螺沟, any other recommendations? It would be nice if anyone knows where are the interesting places for PLUs Thanks.

You can visit the Panda Breeding and Research Centre in Chengdu and if you have more time, you can also visit the Panda Sanctuary in the Wolong Nature Reserve.

Just to share a limited experience

I went to this sauna: MC sauna, it is located in small "lorong" between an apartment and a shop lot.

The sauna located on ground floor, upstair is a GYM where you can see people running on track as there is glass wall like Cali.

The deco look like a karaoke reception, a small and I was attended by a young chap. The entry fees for the suana is RMB 28 (the price i mention later also RMB, SGD1=RMB5). You will be issue a receipt and a magnetic. the locker is big. As soon as i paid and step in the locker area, i was attended by another "runner", a young high school boy asked for the receipt, then he gave me a white towel and a piar of short and v neck shirt.

The bathing area with head shower is desgined (ok start use ur imagination and i will challenge my writing skill) where 4 'C' shape walls stick to gether back o back like #, in the middle there is aquarium and fishes, Yes! bathing with fishes. In each C, there are 2 shower head, the water is hot and nice. You can see trough to onther C chamber as there are small window with two metal in between like in prison II.

there are some other shower area with glossy glass wall, it is enjonying showering as i see a nice body at the other corner.

OK, after shower, u can wear a tower but people there will wear the clothes provided.

there is a small bar counter for drink and few sofa, people sit there to look for target as you need to pass by to the TV room / DVD room.

The Tv room is big with 4/5 rows of bed, all bed cover with white bed sheet and saw a couple hugging....

there is a small room with some DVD on rack, I think u can ask for DVD if needed, no idea if it is charged...

What i did then...I opt for a massage, yes, the sauna provide masseur...dunno how i meet the "high school runner" and he bring me to a wall with around 10 photos, beside is the internet serving area...

So, i start to pick my masseur...I asked if they are around as i need to catch a flight later, the 'runner' said yes but when i chose the massuer, he mention that he is engaged in a masage and this happend for the next four or five photo...at last i chose one who free at the momnet but he is upstair...so i have to wait...

then, got another chap come to ask what type of massage i opt...as i wish for a thai massage but i had discussion with the 'runner' and he also get confused and he suggested I talk to then masseur myself, but this chap need to show me the room for massage, so he need to know what massage so arrange a proper room with adequate size. So, i was brought to a "D" shape room, it a raise wooden floor with D shape 1 inch mattress covered with white bed sheet

i saw there is room charge like $30/50(cant recall exactly) for 2 hours..look like they don't provide free room like in sin? then my masseur came, a young JC look teenange, all the massuer in photo are those young young one, i try to find a more macho one but engage liao...so, no choice..there are some middle age and bear around but there are customer not masseur...

Yet, i had to discuss the massage with my masseur and he also no idea as i ask him which type he most confident in but he hardly answer. Yup, I shuld not expect much from them, it is not a place for proper massage anyway. I insist of a thai massage (in menu they have chinese, thai and europe) then he agreed but he said we need to change a room as the room is too small...Opps, i need o wait again

Luckily, the bigger D shape room is ready in few minutes, i wonder if all the room is in D shape. Now, we in new room and my masseur sudden ask if i could, not opt for thai massage because he is not good at it and recommend a special new massage...thai massage is $98 while chinese massage is less then 98 which is done at public area and this special massage cost 128 and i agreed, was i cheated?

i take off my clothes and he take off his, he didnt wear underwear, wonder if that needed so to save time...his J is consider big but a bit soft, it didnt harden troughout the session...he works on my back and spine, and trunk and he applied too much oil, a bit slippery so his glide is fast, i think slower and deeper is better... and he picked up call during massage! lucking he end it short...

and i got to know that he is from sichuan but not chengdu itself, just in the job for about 3 months, the company paid 1200 per month and food are provided but during the CNY the cook left for home and he ends up with instant noodles...

after he works my legs, he request to dim the light... yup he need to perform body to body massage with face to face, so i think he was a bit shy...

he use his stomach and lower body to glide over mine. its a nice feelings...and when his hace is just that within inch from from, i kissed his check and for a milisec he got shock and continue B2B...

then, came the ending part, the HJ session, he lied beside me and HJ...I asked if he could do other things, he said that HJ only he provide here...a bit disappointment...since my hand is just beside his J so i touched and then only ask if i could touch. (you already touch then only asked...) he agreed and i hugged him tight...didn't bother what he though...then climb on his body and do B2B on him...and suck his nip...breath into his ear...

i asked if he could cum but he said if he cum later then cant do massage anymore...after a while we hug tightly and we laid side by side and he kissed me. he said usually the customer wont touch him like this and ask me not to mention to his friend out there...after putting on shirt he ask if there are redness on his neck as he afraid that people out there laugh. i answer of course not, i didnt use teeth

billing time, the massage is 128 but you need to pay 200 to the bar counter, the 128 plus drink was paid at the receptiion counter before you left,if you wish to tip you can write in the bill that u sign which unde the column of the massage, i didnt sign any tips there as he told me if i sign there the sauna will get a share of 30%

i tips him on my way out to get a cab. it is quite difficult to get a cab in chengdu because there are less cab and some didn't go by meter. the cab driver speed his cab to catch my flight really appreciate that

there are saying that chengdu is the gay city of china, or it is more openlly accepted here. yet to explore bye!

I am at Chengdu right now. Sorry I did not look at your reply because I thought nobody would be interested. Anyway, Chengdu is a very interesting place. I begin to love this place so much. They are plenty of PLU places here, and the brothers here are very friendly. I got to know a few friends here who brought me around and cook dinner together in one of their homes. I also got a friend who is a tour guide. If you are interested to get someone to bring you around, which is most advisable to do so, I can give you his contact or I can help you to make arrangement for him to receive you from the airport. After staying for 5 nites, I begin to feel that a total of 8 nites is too short and I plan to come back in two months time.

Will write more about my adventures, I have to sleep early since tommorrow morning I will be travelling to the earthquake zone at 6.30am.

I just came back from Chengdu for the winter holiday; it's my second trip. I went to the Straight Onsen He Rijun. It's separate for males and females. Facilities include a gaming area, billiards, restaurant,massage, and sleeping cabin, and they are open 24 hours.

 

Super huge, and has 6 floors. The onsen is in the basement, which is very big and nice. All naked without towels, and all men walk freely, without their hands covering their cheebay  like in Singapore LOL. In the Spa area, we can request services of body scrub (2o yuan) and body massage for around 100 to 120 yuan, all naked except the masseurs who are all mature guys, wearing t-shirts and short pants.

 

Its a straight place, but of course there are few bi or gay men or gay couples.  

 

Fee is 160 yuan including free-flow drinks and juice, and fruits, also free breakfast in the morning. Buffet is 40 yuan.

Decided to just write about my recent trip to Chengdu which is suppose to be the "Gay" Capital of China. Also i didn't see any topic on this city so thought to start one and let's share about experience.

 

Honestly, without VPN or your own roaming. I think it's quite hard to hook up and get into the scene, if you are an expert or know how, please share. I think there is alot of potential. haha.

Even in Xiao Hong shu, there isn't much. So just really wondering where are the happening places.

 

I did finally get a massage from Grindr but can I say, the information and images provided by the chinese are highly photoshopped and the information are not accurate at all. Basically this massuer told me that he is 175cm, 70kg but when i meet up with him, he was shorter than me. i'm 167cm. so yeah. 

 

But the massage was ok but reasonably priced because most of the masseur on Grindr will quote you sky high price of $200-$400. 

 

So please share with me, your experience.

China is not like Singapore, gay labeling and LGBT matters, although you can see some, or some of them been influenced by Western ideas , like in xiao hong shu

There are many hidden places only known by their local gay apps, blued

Blued apps also have 2 versions, for local and international 

Most of them look as usual Chinese men, dress up normally

Some of them really don't know those hidden places,  or some of them pretend don't know because we are fa oreigner , since government closed down the popular gay sauna, so they prefer keep it secret 

 

I went to a local bathhouse, the family style , big and few floors with F&B , and gaming area, recommended by guy i chat in Blued Apps local version , is about 2 times bigger than Yunomori Kallang

i did enjoy the body scrub , they did in a public area, next to a hot pool, laying naked, few beds sitting next to each other , and  nobody care

Those in side sauna room can watch the process  

all naked and walk freely, without towels, and nobody will walk and cover their dick , like those act in yunomori kallang
