9/16/25: A Day for our Math Teachers

Today is a unique Date for our math teachers.

📅 Today In U.S. format: 9/16/25

• 9 + 16 = 25

• Which mirrors the Pythagorean triple: 3² + 4² = 5²
   

As a bonus:

• The year itself, 2025, is a perfect square (45²).
   

A nice reminder of how numbers connect in surprising ways.

This is very smart!  Did you imagine a right triangle with adjacent side 4, opposite 3 and hypotenuse 5 ?

 

And who would have imagined that taking the square root of 2025 it would be exactly 45 ???

 

I don't remember my math teachers being so smart... although I was too young to judge this  🙂

TOTO has little to do with exact math.  Although it could deal with an important branch of mathematics:  the study of probability.  But it is a very poor and simple example of probability,  which smart people who know about it will definitely keep them from gambling.

 

But the deficient winning probability in TOTO contributes to its profit for the government, which goes to charity and other good causes.  So...  it is not completely evil.
