radiusulnar Posted May 4 Posted May 4 I imagine that will be the day I can go about my daily activities without worrying about bills to be paid. Just focus and enjoy on what I am doing at each moment. bluerunner and reece7700 2 Quote

This is something I'll wish to do at a younger age when still have the energy and looks. Quote
Popular Post Veloster Posted May 4 Popular Post Posted May 4 (edited) Despite me and my str brother both in our early thirties we are at a point now where we have only a small housing loan to fulfill ...we both live comfortably in our condo... have enough for travels & savings which we have invested over ten yrs now! We don't party we don't drink we spent on holidays esp within APAC which usually is alot less than in Singapore! One of us is Singaporean and the other is a PR! We usually go back to our hometown in Busan at least once a year if not twice! So yes we are def living a comfortable lifestyle esp with awesome str and bi small circle of friends we call our chosen family! Edited May 4 by Veloster HC-B, reece7700, sam88 and 4 others 4 3 Quote
Eddie Adrika Posted May 4 Posted May 4 After 18 years in the fashion industry… been there, done that… I decided to change gears and embrace working from home. By June 2026, it’ll be four years of this lifestyle, and I couldn’t be happier. No commutes, no chaos, just living day by day without worrying about what’s ahead. I’m mortgage-free, having fully paid off my HDB flat, and now I’m preparing to downsize into a 2-room Flexi. That move will make things even more comfortable, giving me the freedom to live simply and stress-free. Life as a single person suits me perfectly, I’ve got my three cats for company, a small circle of close friends, and the freedom to take staycations or holidays whenever I feel like it. No rush, no pressure, just me enjoying life on my own terms. My next goal is to sell my current home and move into that Flexi flat, stepping into a semi-retired lifestyle where I can truly savor each day. Comfort, for me, is exactly this: independence, peace, and joy in the everyday. raymond_lee, Leisure, Nivek and 1 other 2 2 Quote
ToughGuy Posted May 4 Posted May 4 I dun want to be "comfortable"...I need daily feed of problems, issues, crisis so that I can learn something (not by choice) for me, life is meaningless if everything is smooth sailing. Here in Msia, LHDN, Kastams, Polis, Majlis, JPJ, are out to rock the life of those who are "comfortable" mode....so, need to be "on top of things" ALL the time. Quote Looking for Lean twin bottom.. Some of us find joy in slowing down, others thrive on the thrill of challenges… even if they draw blood. That’s the beauty of it: comfort wears different outfits for each of us. Quote

HC-B Posted May 8 Posted May 8 When you are armed with adult money. When you don’t think twice or bat an eyelid about spending $9 on a sundae or ice cream or croissant. When you have no qualms about cabbing anywhere. When you have fully paid up your housing loan. When you already have a fully paid property and have more than sufficient liquid cash to get another one. When you plan overseas travel trips consecutively without worry or concerns about your finances. When you don’t worry about or over your parents’ health and well being and don’t regret or are at peace with their passing, knowing that you’ve done almost everything you possibly can to make the years before their deaths as meaningful and joyous with them as you could. Dont mind my saying, but when your list already has more than, just a couple of "whens....", then when all "whens..." are completed, alas new "whens" will add up... It helps us stay focused, stay vigilant, maintain a healthy heart, and maintain mental clarity, among other benefits.Even if you don't experience stress, you still need to put your body under some kind of pressure. I think your everyday routine tasks, such as hurrying to finish your laundry, trying to make a delicious meal, or setting high standards for yourself like running a certain distance every day or attempting to solve a puzzle, can also have the same effect. Pinching yourself works too. ToughGuy 1 Quote
