Irodorido Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 In the midst of persuading other newbies to go together with me, its just too difficult to 1. go alone 2. wear pink 3. go to city area. It is too much for a person who is not fully ready to embrace himself yet. Parents are gonna question and if friends happen to see my there or in the uploaded photos, I really dont need to attend school anymore. Can just emo in the corner of the room. Perhaps I should just wait for a more low-toned outing...You don't have to go alone. You can don't wear pink if you don't have to. In addition to what CaptainMarvelous have written, it is about the courage that you can gather to go for a once-in-a-time event. Who knows that this event might turn out to be a great motivator/change to your life, especially since you are still in the closet. There ain't any consequences, just need a little faith in yourself. But youth is all but fleeting, you gonna spend your teenager life fearing what will happen and not taking any steps about it? If you're gonna stay on this path it's only sooner or later that you have to learn how to adapt to society adapting to your/our orientation (unless you plan to be in the closet forever, not that it's wrong or anything). I'm pretty sure there's a few of us here who are out and open, some without a choice or was forced, and still be able to face our parents, attend school, serve in the army and still have earnest friends who supports whoever you are. There's no divine miracle of acceptance that dropped from the sky onto the people around us. We all took a step into the murky mist for this one.Anyway, like people above have suggested to accompany or motivate you, it's down to your choice in the end. p.s. some of the guys here, I'm doubtful of "more low-toned outing". Don't stress over it, pink is a horrible color to wear imo. (Of course, that's just my personal preference)
